Place your "bet!" What game will win the 2015 GOTY award on most Gamingsites?

I'll go first, and ill put down $10.000 on my bet because i know that game will win the 2015 GOTY Award

The Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt. No other game can beat this game this year, only game close is BloodBorne and maybe Fallout4.

What game do you think will win the GOTY Award of 2015?

I won't say who will win, but the games that I think have the best shot at winning are The Witcher 3, Bloodborne, Metal Gear Solid 5, and Fallout 4. However, for Gamespot, it'll likely come down to The Witcher 3 and MGS5, due to them being the two games this year to get a 10/10 from this site.

In my opinion, I think Witcher 3 is the best game that came out this year. Many great games have come out ( Fallout 4, Bloodborne, Rocket League, Shadowrun : Hong Kong Etc.) but I think Witcher 3 had a slight nudge above the others for me. Not to mention the only one of Witcher games I've played through.

As for what game sites and such may give the GOTY, I'm gonna assume the new Battlefront game.

The Witcher 3

Witcher 3. Quite honestly, I think it will be a major upset if any other game wins. I'm not saying that MGS5 or Bloodborne should not win or aren't as good. But I think the scope of players that Witcher was able to attract is much bigger; it was created by a pretty small company. Wiki says its roughly 230 works.

I think The Witcher 3, Metal Gear Solid 5, and Fallout 4 are the obvious top three contenders. I think that Xenoblade Chronicles X will end up being another very strong contender.

Its between Bloodborne, The Witcher 3, MGS 5 and Fallout 4. Fallout 4 so far is the most complete and engrossing experience. The others were very good but not quite.

There's consensus about "The Witcher 3" and this is probably the winner. my personal choice is "Bloodborne".

I haven't played the Witcher 3 but gauging from others experience and feedback that is my prediction. Fallout 4 was definitely my most anticipated game but I'm not sure it deserves game of the year.

I don't think Fallout 3 has a chance this year but I like your optimism. ;)

In terms of game attracting players , Witcher 3 can not even begin to compare to Fallout 4, there is a reason why it´s constantly in the top 4 most played games.

But GOTY will either be Fallout 4 or MGS , or in gamespot´s case they may give it to some obscure Nintendo title. The fanboyisme for Nintendo among the gamespot staff is insane.

@ojmstr: honestly even i want witcher 3 to win it, and coming to bloodborne i don't think it has got any chance, because metal gear solid 5 ,witcher 3 and fallout 4 are the top 3 contenders for GOTY, and mostly mgs5 will beat them to it.

i'll go with mgsv, with witcher 3 a close second. i think fallout's technical issues / poor visuals will push it back to third place

That's pretty much it! I would throw Arkham Knight in the mix, but I'm sure the PC community would have issues with that!! lol

this is my prediction as well. Even though I really don't like MGS V, a lot of critics seem to love it, and it will be fresher in their memories at the end of the year. I also suspect Rocket League could nab a few GOTY awards.

@phoenix5352: I would mention MGSV if it had the whole package but it lacks to much story for it to deserve the GOTY award in my opinion. Gameplay and performance is tight though and probably one of the most impressive of them all but it feels there is just something very important that is missing, it's a shame, i had high hopes for that game, maybe to high.

Yeah I agree that the Witcher 3 will likely win the most GOTY awards, so not gonna bet ya 10k :p

I'll take that bet. I'm going with mgsv. Its between the two but I'm going with metal gear based on the slightly higher metacritic rating and the fact that it also received more 10s than the witcher 3.

I'm going to have to go for the Witcher 3 as well. It obviously got a lot of praise and many gaming sites have held it up as an example when reviewing other games throughout the year.

@ojmstr: hope they don't go based on metacritic scores , because mgs 5 is still on the top . i know it failed when it comes to story, which is actually the defining part of a metal gear solid game , but still it got lot of praise from the reviewers just because of game play.

Probably TW3 or a tie with MGS5. Gamespot will say you can't go wrong with either one.

Even though I'd vote for Bloodborne personally.

*though Fallout is pretty good, it doesn't deserve to be considered amongst the top games in 2015. Only makes an appearance because the staff is obsessed with the heavily flawed but fun game.

I would be very surprised if The Witcher 3 doesn't sweep the awards this year.

I think that GOTY would go to either MGS5 or Fallout 4. Been hearing a crap ton of positive feedback on those games.

@phoenix5352: Only time will tell but im still hoping and putting my money on The Witcher 3 because that game truly deserves the GOTY award from my point of view.

Wither 3 FTW, or there is no justice. MGS5 is a good game but I felt a lot of reviewers gave it too much praise, it has plenty of flaws with moments of brilliance.
