Persona 5 for PS3 and a bunch of spinoffs announced

Persona 5's long anticipated trailer was singularly unrevealing, but it does look like chains will be a motif. Persona is a superb series (the best jrpgs on the market) so my expectations of P5 are sky high. Persona 5 and three spinoffs (one on the PS3, one on the 2DS and one on the Vita) are hitting in Japan in 2014. Unless their new bosses at Sega prevent it, we'll see all these games Stateside in 2014 or 2015.

Persona 4 The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold is also hitting the PS3 in 2014. The last Persona fighter was good stuff, so this should be good as well.

Persona 4: Dancing all Night on the Vita. Looks nice for what it is but I have no interest in what it is.

Shadow of the Labryinth on the 2DS. Super deformed jrpg with characters from both Personas 3 and 4. I'm not an SD fan, but at least its an rpg.

- Glad P5 is going to be on PS3, sad it wont release in the US until 2015

- P4A2 is a pass, didn't like P4A

- P4D is a rhythm game... lol pass

- PQ has potential

So it'll be at least 2020 before we see a current gen Persona. Dammit, why are they doing this again?

It was obvious that they were going to announce Persona 5, and that it's coming out on the PS3 is no surprise; but to have actual confirmation is so awesome

And Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold hold looks pretty sweet, can't say I care much for the other two.

I personally love that they had the midnight channel airing every night up to the release on their teaser site.

What's wrong with supporting the older generation console? It's not like these games need a lot of technical power to be pulled off, plus the user base is much larger.

I have yet to play the highly approved Persona series which I only know good things about. I like Japanese roleplaying games, so when next winter comes, I will ready to get this.

yeah, i'm not really disappointed that it isn't going to the PS4. the persona games don't show off the hardware and there was never a time in either of the PS2 games when i felt that the art direction was being held back because of technical restrictions.

The funniest thing about my persona experience is I played 1-4 on a portable never on a console, so i'm gonna wait till they have it on vita. Still i'm hyped for this game.
