Parts of a game that make it stand out/memorable

The battle ranking in Bayonetta games always stand out to me. The game awards you with a Platinum rating when you play really well with very little to no errors. It’s satisfying when you finish the battle and you hear the jingle 🤣. You also get a little award too. Oh, and unfortunately Bayonetta 3 ended the jingle :(

Also love the verse as well when you complete a section.

How about you, GD? What little touches to a game stand out to you?

In Gears of War 1, there's a sound effect that sounds like a guitar. The guitar sound happens when the enemies of the fight you were just in are dead. It's very helpful because it's a signal that the coast is clear, which means that you can take your time to pick up an ammo box or swap one of the guns you have with one that was dropped by a locust. It's a helpful thing for sure.

FF7 had so many memorable moments. I beat the game then purchased a game guide (before interwebs you bought these guides) realized I missed a ton of content replayed it again

Monster Hunter, every time they give a short no-fuss cinematic displaying how awesome a monster is before you get carted almost instantly afterwards_

Final Fantasy 8 opening got me hooked with the iconic Sword fight between Squall and Siefer.
