I still have my old NES and my Dad still has his Atari 2600 from when he was younger though I'm pretty sure it doesn't work anymore.
my NES/SNES are famiclones...
so i dont think thats counts since the system is new...
so then the n64 is the oldst
I have an atari but it doesn't work any more. I just keep it because its still cool and you never know....some one could need spare parts one of these days and offer me some bucks for it!
I had a NES way back in 1988 but it broke when I was in the forth grade.
The oldest working video game console I have is the sega genesis!
Magnavox Odyssey.Flame_Blade88That is THE oldest system. It's like the holy grail of console collector's. He wins. That is unless someone here has a working PDP-1 Computer with the original Space War game, which I doubt. I have a Commodore 64, but it got the black screen of death finally last year. As for a working console, the oldest would be my Nintendo NES. It still works, and just today I replaced the 72-pin connector. By doing that I never have any flashiness or having to blow into games and stuff.

Original box and everything, my mouth dropped :P
I have an old SNES back from the 90s in near mint condition with the box, which is bent and wore a tiny bit though, but the console and everything else is in great condition.
I have two NES's but one doesn't work. The one that does work is a pain to play because I constantly have to press the reset button over and over again before it comes on and if it gets slightly bumped the game shuts off and some of my games can't keep saved data very long because the batteries in the cartridge are so old.
The original Gameboy... I got it when I was in preschool:D After that it is the SNES, followed by the Sega Genesis model II.
atari 2600 is just as old as nes isnt it or what if not than thats it
-but i didnt get it on its release so if you meant by release bump up to the nes
for handheld gameboy color -i did have agb but losti t
No, the Atari 2600 was released as the Atari VCS in 1977, and later renamed the Atari 2600 when it was repackaged in the early 80s, but it was still the same console. While the NES was released in 1985, it's Japanese counterpart released 2 years earlier in 1983 as the Famicom. Even then, there were consoles before the Atari 2600, not many, but there were. The Magnavox Odyssey was the first console, released in 1974. The Fairchild F was another early console released sometime after the Magnavox Odyssey and before the Atari 2600, but I don't the date on that one. I'm sure there were more.atari 2600 is just as old as nes isnt it or what if not than thats it
