Disappointed. I was really hoping to see a decent chunk of Star Wars Battlefront, but all we got was that frankly boring Dev Diary, that only seemed cool at the time because the Star Wars music is so emotional and powerful.
I'm also kinda surprised they didn't announce any other Star Wars games, they claimed when they first picked up the licence that Bioware and Visceral Games where also working on games, and while it's possible Visceral are working on two projects (as DICE will have laid the foundation for BF: Hardline), it seems like saying Bioware was working on something was just an outright lie, I mean they're just finishing up Dragon Age, Mass Effect seems to be moving out of planning and into real development now, and they've now confirmed there working on a new IP as well, it seems incredibly unlikely that Bioware are also working on a new Star Wars RPG.
As for everything else that was shown, pretty bare-bones, too much focus on sports games (as there is every year), Sims 4 proved they have nothing new to offer with the series, Mirrors Edge was another that was disappointment, we saw more of actual people doing Parkor than we did of Faith, Battlefield: Hardline looked OK, but not good enough to warrant a purchase, or even turning on my PS4 to try and get the beta, and Criterion's new game looked like a joke, but it was very early so I'll try to hold off from judging it too much.
I gotta be honest I entered EA's conference only been excited for Star Wars: Battlefront, Dragon Age and Mass Effect, and I left only been excited for Star Wars: Battlefront, Dragon Age and Mass Effect.
I don't really know why they needed a press show this year?
