I haven't bought a game in a long time...
haven't bought a new game since Ghost recon future soldier because i wont support online only and hate skill trees and unlockable garbage
I am a lifelong martial artist so I can stand silly representations
I like games that focus on the actual theme not searching around for some silly magic token that allows my character to hold their weapon properly
watching the video on ghost of tsushima I about lost it as it looked like a legitimate representation devoid of magical powerups or unlockable skill tree garbage [filler] FINALLY
RIP simulators and realistic games and welcome questing for unlockables [PUKE]
BRING BACK OG game theory!!!
ninja gaiden shinobi ghost recon socom splintercell...we miss you!

Only played Sekiro. It's a great game but unfortunately it does have unlockable moves and skills. It is focused on breaking enemy posture and finding openings, and is less reliant on leveling up and customization compared to the other big Fromsoft games.

Sekiro Main Character has mechanical hands, it obviously fantasy.

Nioh is diablo/souls mix where u kill demons to get better loot. Its fantasy.

Ghost of Tsushima is based on true events of Mongol invasion of Japan. Probably realistic.

The more I re-read this thread, the more realise how stupid it is.

Simulators are restricted and usually play like absolute trash, usually resulting in being made of QTE which itself isn't grounded in reality.

You unlocked moves in Ninja Gaiden all the time through scrolls. What do you think essence is for? I wouldn't call power stancing to absorb floating currency as realistic

Buy a katana and go play outside if you really want realism. Let games be games.

@RSM-HQ:

"the more realise how stupid it is"

LOL...

I dont expect it to be an ABSOLUTE SIMULATOR,

I just prefer less fantasy and more reality.

unlocks and skill trees are silly fantasy filler made to distract chumps

hasn't been a real sword fight simulator in video games since Bushido blade

@guerrilla1974: Will try and be helpful, I hear Kingdom Come Deliverance is based on your needs. The game seems really boring, however it's also based on a more grounded use of moves and locations.

I just prefer less fantasy and more reality.

My point exactly. Ninja Gaiden 'that series you miss' is very fantasy with power-ups and magic

That's why your thread seemed stupid, you contradict your own rant.

Im talking about ORIGINAL ninja gaiden dumbass

I loved tenchu despite its silly skill tree

Its just obvious that its a copycat game design strategy as all new games are besieged with silly unlocks and skill trees

Unlocking weapons and devices is legit as this is actually something that is based in reality not fantasy

How is my ninja supposed to learn a new technique from finding a magic token??

Stupid fantasy shoehorned into games as filler

Ghost of tshumia looks legitimate

A game that show combat the respect it deserves
