GTA IV was hyped more than the Halo games, and that says a lot. I love GTA but it was a bit unhealthy how much attention and praise it got in the press.
Also, Fable, or pretty much any game that moleneux guy makes. And all the Half-life junk... and every single final fantasy since FF7 has been hyped; 7,8,10 and 12 especially.
Age of Conan had a short term hype to it, which really didn't last since the game really didn't have the substance or quality to keep anyone interested in it.
Halo 3 hands down. So overhyped. All those TV spots, they money they spent on those models. It was a mediocre sequel that M$ wanted to boost 360 sales. Halo 1 is what put the og XBox on the map. Halo 3 needed to do that for the 360.
