Most Annoying Game Character. Ever.

So here's something to think about. Who (or what) in your opinion is the most irritating game character of all time? From back in the day when it was just text-boxes to when full speech was available in games... and saying every character in FFXIII is an acceptable answer as far as I'm concerned. The one that sticks out right away to me is Navi from the Ocarina of Time... HEY! LISTEN!! I think Link should've bottled that little B!#%& up so I didn't have to hear that every time I walked past an object of interest.

Where Welch is voiced Tomoe Hanaba(I think:?) who voices Etna from Disgaea. After that Welch pretty much becomes awesome since the Japanese dub works so well considering the character.:lol:

I don't think any one character in Uncharted is annoying but I really found Elena annoying when ever she repeated the same thing over and over again. It was most likely because I couldn't do the platforming well for that section, but everyone has had to have heard Elena say "I think I see a rope down there" at least 5 times in Uncharted 2.

When I kept falling because I didn't reach at the right time, that phrase really got on my nerves.

I had to settle for the 360 version :(

I was able to put up 15 hours of it before I decided to dropped it; hated every minute of it. It was surprising to hear that Welch's voice actress was the same one as Rise from Persona 4 and Kaine from NieR. She was great in those and Catherine as well.

I found Polka from Eternal Sonata to be extremely annoying.

Maybe it's just because it's this gen but Final Fantasy XIIIcharacters immediately came to mind... like Snow.

Hmmm, also not a fan of the Gears characters...

Tidus wasn't all that annoying tbh, his English VA was though.

No, that honor goes to Hope, at least Vanille did stuff, Hope just whined (and I put him as the most annoying character in a game along with the entire set of characters from battlefield: bad company 2).

Hope is annoying, but he stops being annoying early on in the story.

Hope is annoying, but he stops being annoying early on in the story.

He was much more manageable once he grew as a character a bit.

I thought the fat guy from F.E.A.R. was bad but those video others have posted ....

Waluigi,Daisy and every Baby character to have appeared in a Mario game.

The Council in Mass Effect is annoying as hell. Bunch of distrusting spacepigs.

The villains in the Spyro games were always annoying particulaly the one in year of the dragon.

Vanille & Hope. I thought they were pretty terrible. I still enjoyed the game a lot & thought the rest of the cast was great, Lightning probably being my favourite female character in a video game, just ahead of Kaine from NIER (there are quite a few similarities between the two now I think about it..). Sahz was a standout, Fang was decent & I actually liked Snow..

But yeah, Vanille & Hope.. Ugh. In a way, I actually disliked Hope more because in every FF game (almost every jRPG), there is a Vanille. You get used to the character, despite how annoying they are. Hope was unique in a sense. Sure, he manned up a bit later on, but he still looked like a little girl, wore that stupid outfit & pulled a boomerang from out of his behind.

Also, Ashley from Mass Effect. I romanced her, "chose" her (still regret that, but it seems like the right thing to do, so I'll stick with it) & then she disappears in the second game, only to be all upset because I'm doing what I need to do to save the galaxy. It was the excuse I was looking for to get with Miranda any way.

In retrospect, I can't believe that I acctually finished Star Ocean 4. However, strangely I did.

I liked the characters in U1 and U2 but they are really getting on my nerves now. They are so extremely 1 dimensional. Drake has his stupid wise ass comments, Elena calls him on it and tries to be sassy and cool, Sully has his beligerant almost drunken comments. Like an uncle no one wants to talk to. And judging by what I've seen so far for U3 nothing has changed. They will probably say stupid stuff like "this journey is a lot darker for drake and push him to his limits" like they always say for characters that have run their course. As much as I think the games are good its not because of the characters. They are far too cliched

I loved the first two Uncharted games but I completely agree here. I hope in Uncharted 3 something crazy happens that shatters the cliche and changes Drake completely. If they killed off Sully, I think that'd be a great point for Drake to start changing into a more serious character.

Tidus. He single-handedly ruined Final Fantasy X for me. Waka didn't help matters either. I still get annoyed when I see those two.

I have a feeling they will hint towards that and he will disappear or something and we will think he's dead just to have him come back and save drake somehow. Then happy family ending. I hope im completely wrong but thats the type or stereotypical cliched characters that Uncharted has. Normal people aren't like that. If they made the characters more relateable then they would be so much better.

He was just so annoying! I found it easy to kill him at the end of the game. If you play the lightside Rosh just looses an arm. Its cosmic payback in the form of karma for being such an annoying dweeb.

With the except of Chloe and Jeff the Cameraman I have to agree that the they need better writing to make their recurring characters more dynamic.

However, the more I think about the original question on here where I answered Hope from FFXIII I may have to strongly consider substituting him with the set of main characters from KZ2, they were just horribly written in every way possible.

Tidus. The laughing scene made me want to throw my ps2 out the window. I settled by just throwing FFX out the window instead.

Some characters are certainly annoying, like Navi, but Tidus made me hate that game so much, and the laughing scene was just the breaking point for me.
