Not much more to add other than how good this game is coming along. The first trailer showcases more monsters (returning favorites Boruborosu and Diaburosu), maps, weapons and armor variety.

The second is more of a tutorial for beginners to understand the flow of Monster Hunter games in single-player.

I haven't had a good look at this yet but I have certainly been waiting for this for sure. Look forward to nearer the time.

Played it on the handhelds but never quite enjoyed it as much as I would have liked to.

Early 2018, not a clear release but assume around Spring if all goes as planned. Though I should note that release window will be on Xbox and Playstation. Capcom do plan on a Steam/ P.C. release as well but at a later date, and have stated in a recent interview the P.C. port will be a few months behind the console releases.

Don't jump in blind however, if you've never tried a Monster Hunter game it maybe a lot to take in, so keep in mind the game has a lot of complex mechanics and at times will be more difficult a game than Dark Souls.

It's a series of investment, as it's demanding, yet if you have a few friends to enjoy the game with? It'll be an even more enjoyable experience. Coop is a strong part of this series, and the popular way to play the game_

As mentioned to Dav. One of Monster Hunters strongest aspects is to play it coop/ along with up-to three other people, hopefully friends. If you can? I highly recommend it. Personally enjoy it solo as well but coop is much more enjoyable. Especially when facing Elder Dragons.

*May as well add this from the other MH thread-

We're going to continue with free DLC support. We have lots of cool ideas for collaborations

So Monster Hunter: World is confirmed to have free DLC like previous MH games. I know many view Capcom in a negative light when it comes to DLC, however the MH franchise has been well-known for what's called Events. It's timed DLC that must be grabbed during a certain time-period. Lots of fun armor and weapons can be earned during these, so it'll be pretty exciting what we get in World.

@GameboyTroy: Once again thank you Troy for updating this thread. Capcom finally giving the actual release date was awesome.

However, I actually never planned on adding the TGS information into GD. Due to a lack of interest by the community, seeing as only a hand full of people have shown any enthusiasm for the ; latest Monster Hunter.

Must say, I'm very interested in getting that Monster Hunter Dualshock controller as well :)
