In this guide you will find cheat codes. They can make your gameplay more varied or much easier. This includes:

  1. Using cheats
  2. Universal codes
  3. Network codes
  4. Minecraft Java Edition
  5. Windows 10 Edition

If you want to use cheat codes you have to open the command console first and to do so you have to press the T key. The code must always be preceded by a slash (/).

Remember that the codes will only work if the option to use them is on - you can change it in the world's options.

Universal codes

In order to use universal commands, you must specify the object on which you want to execute them.

  1. /difficulty <level name> - changes difficulty level;
  2. /locate <ID> - shows coordinates of the selected structure;
  3. /summon [amount] - summons mob;
  4. /effect give/clear <player name> <effect> - adds or removes a specific effect;
  5. /weather <weather type> - allows you to summon any weather;
  6. /clear [target] [object] [metadata] [max quantity] [data tag] - removes the object from the specified character equipment;
  7. /clone <x1> <Y1> <Z1> <x2> <y2> <z2> <x> <y> <z> [masking mode]- cloning mode] - allows to copy blocks;
  8. /enchant <player name> <spell id> [spell level] - allows you to add an enchant to the selected item;
  9. /experience <add / set> <Player > < quantity > <points / levels> - affects the amount of experience a character has;
  10. /gamemode <type> - game mode change;
  11. /give <player> <Item> [quantity] - with this code you can summon any item;
  12. kill (name) - kills the designated mob;
  13. setworldspawn [x] [y] [z] - it allows you to choose a spawn place in the world;
  14. /playsound <sound> <player> [item] [volume] [tone] [minimum volume] - allows you to play the selected sound;
  15. /stopsound <player> [source] [sound] - turns off the sound;
  16. /tp [object name] <target> - teleports to a designated location;
  17. /timeset <value> - sets the time in game;
  18. /gamemode <mode> [player] - allows you to change the game mode during gameplay;
  19. /xp <add / set> <player> < quantity > <points / levels> - allows you to manage a character's experience.

Network codes

These codes are great in case.

  1. /deop <player name> - allows to remove operator status from selected player;
  2. /op <player name> - gives selected person operator status;
  3. /gamerule <rule> [value] - modifies the rules of the game;
  4. /say <message > - message on general chat;
  5. /tell <player name> - message to selected player;
  6. /trigger <target> [<add / set> <value>] - target modification.

Minecraft Java Edition

Codes only available in the Minecraft Java Edition.

  1. /data - modifies data properties of blocks;
  2. /defaultgamemode <mode> - sets the default game mode;
  3. /seed - shows world seed ID;
  4. /forceload <add / remove> <x1, z1> [x2, z2] - modifies load areas;
  5. /recipe <give / take> [player name] <item> - any recipe becomes active;
  6. /worldborder <add / set> <distance> [time] - sets the boundary of the world.

Windows 10 Edition

Codes only available in the Windows 10 Edition version of the game.

  1. /setmaxplayers - sets the maximum number of players;
  2. /alwaysday - makes no night in the game;
  3. /daylock - allows you to modify the day;
  4. /save - allows to manage saves;
  5. /toggledownfall - affects weather phenomena.
