Okami. Mostly for the great presentation. It was like an eyegasm, little invisible tendrils of pure pleasure reached out from the screen and stroked my eyeballs. Oh, and Mrs. Orange did a raging demon on her oven to make me food, that was cool.
God of War series. These are just epic games. That's all I have to say, they just are. Both games were less of an experience, and mor elike being part of a major event.
God Hand. The hands down best action game ever made. The combination of humor and white knuckled action was incredible, and the ease with which it rode the fine line between challenging and cheap was admirable. The game actually got tougher as you did better, and easier as you did worse. Very, very good game.
Zone of the Enders 2. Besides Geometry Wars 2, this is the sequel that stands out to me as being the most improved from the original of all time. They fixed what was broken, didn't fix what wasn't broken, and added a whole bunch of fanservice and asskickery he likes of which is rarely seen. The best mech game I've ever played.
Final Fantasy X. A great addition to the long standing series, and my favorite JRPG of the last generation. JRPGs this gen have had some great games, but I think we have yet to have our FFX of this gen.
