So, I was curious which platform Mass Effect 3 would be best on? I imagine PS3 would bring up the rear due to the game being developed closely with Microsoft?

Would that mean it's possible that if you played the PC ones previously that those much vaunted "decisions that you made in the past catching up wtih you in the third game" would apply cross platform between PC and Xbox360 at least?

Well the PC version will probably be a little better than the cosnole versions (provided your PC can handle it)

Between PS3 and 360 the game will look the same, just get it for the one that has your shepard save file, or controller prefrence, it also has online so get it for the one your friends have. Other than that they are identicle.

Try the demos. I played the ps3 demo and it was awful, the framerate was terrible. Maybe fixed since it`s release but it was pretty bad.

I thought it was fine, didn't have any issues with it.

If you have a capable PC I think the choice should be obvious to you. If not might wanna go with the 360 version from what I've heard.

Looked pretty bad to me, but it was right after I finished playing nothing but UC3 for a few weeks, so that could be why.

Well that's what I would think, but considering it feels like this game is designed around the consoles, perhaps it may be one of those things that isn't automatically better on the pc?

And I wouldnt say this belongs in FW, this is after all about the game, not really a debate/argument about systems. As I said I own all three and am trying to figure out which platform it would be best on, and am also curious about whether the save file thing would work across platforms, or if you have to stick to one.

SW material. In any case, you should buy ME3 on the console you played ME1 and ME2 on. If you have neither of them, buy it for the PC, which will undoubtedly be the better version. I also suggest you buy the first and second games on whatever platform you pick the third game.

Enjoy.

GamesRadar actually recommends the Xbox 360 version because it incorporates Kinect. I couldn't care less because I'm a PC & PS3 gamer and I'm not really a fan of motion-sensors but here you go. What I read on GamesRadar since you asked.

Probably PC unless you care about Kinect.

PS3 brings up the rear.

Yeah, the demo isn't a good representation of the final game. On the PS3, the game runs perfectly fine.

To answer the original question, if you have a good PC then that's the best version. 360 being second simply because it has the entire trilogy. You really can't go wrong though. If it were me I'd buy whichever one you have more friends on because the co-op is surprisingly good.

Kinect integration is actually pretty cool.

Once you map your most important powers to quick buttons, you never really need to open those wheels again as you can freely order teammates to use their skills and change weapons in the heat of combat. Though I will say that "Liara, singularity" doesn't really roll off the tongue when you say it.

It's also occasionally useless, like how they let you say 'open' when you're near a door rather than tapping A. With combat stuff saying 'shotgun' is handy instead of digging through a pop up wheel. Saying 'open' instead of tapping A once is silly.

Yelling out your dialogue choices is amusing too, if pointless.

PC > Consoles

Unless your friends play multiplayer on the consoles..
