Copyware is always interesting, time we got ourselves a trio to make fun of.

The least interesting is the PSP puzzler Puzzlescape. As 1up states, if you already have a PSP what's the point?

Next up is some PC shareware, which looks the most interesting due to it's vertical orientation. But I don't think that perspective looks appealing gameplay wise.

Then lastly, the reason you opened this thread, is a game called Luminator on the DS. Right now it seems like it's PAL only but that does not matter since the DS is region free. Click the link below for a screenshot. Here's the company line:

Luminator is the new music based puzzle game. Make points to the beat of the music! Build square bricks which will be changed into points, as fast or as slow as the beat is.

The bigger the combos, the bigger the points!

Luminator contains 15 exciting background designs and 15 fantastic soundtracks.

My take: I'll be shocked if any of these turns out even as good as Lumines Live, and that's not too tough to do. I'm a big fan of the series on PSP, and I'll be sticking to that.

Yeah, the gameplay of Lumines exceedingly easy to copy (but good), but the atmosphere... While Q has a very memorable/bizarre art style, where they tend to leave the rest of the world in the dust is the quality of their soundtracks (in fairness, I haven't heard the soundtracks of any of the games in question). Given the audio capabilities of the X360 and the PS3, I would be interesting if they really flexed their muscles by building one of their games on said systems from the ground up (even as a downloadable game).
