Hi guys, I have a big urge for some RPG with open world to explore with freedom. But I look for a game heavily focused on combat, doesn't matter if it's real time or turn based, solo or with party. I hate walking through cities and reading tons of dialogues, I just want to go wherever I wish, fight some monsters and gather loot, that's it. I also hate (lots of hate, I know) diablo-like loot system, where monsters drop tons of randomly generated garbage, I preffer the system where specified enemy drops specified list of items with some percentage chance. I also don't care so much about graphics, I've played nethack, for example, and I was ok with "graphics", I just didn't like it's "always go down" dungeon system. I'll add that I have big sentiment for Tibia, I liked many things in this game, especially freedom, but it's a crap nowadays. I know I'm quite demanding, but still I hope that my "dream game" will finally turn out to exist.

Dwarf Fortress: Adventurer Mode.

Mount and Blade Warband (with mods). Although there are no monsters or magic here.

Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord if you want something more modern, but less polished (Early Access).

Battle Brothers

Kenshi (Although this might be less RPG and more RTS, depending on how you play).

I could give some more suggestions, but freedom is a very subjective term. Define more what you mean with Freedom.

Zelda BoTW. The game is damn empty save for the monster on the field and the direction u wanna go. Its just you and the mission. The side quests were few and forgettable so it fits great to your description.

Far Cry 3,4 and 5 - Great open world game with plenty of things to kill, a huge map to explore, lots of items and weapons to craft and abilities to unlock.

And the Assassins Creed series.

Also Horizon Zero Dawn.

Can't think of a single open world RPG that is even close to having combat as good as Dragon's Dogma. The loot in the game is also pretty amazing and varied, rarely gives garbage quickly replaced.

The actual quests and Gran Soren however, have a lot to be desired. Post-game (Everfall) and Bitter Black Isle make up for the negatives though.

without a good story and therefore dialogue, you won't find much but dumbed-down action games with some interchangeable gear. not what I would really call RPG.

I was going to recommend Borderlands (t's not strickly an RPG, but if you're looking for lots of combat with loot in an open-world with little story, it fits the bill) but you say you hate randomized loot systems and Borderlands is festooned with that.

Some of the modern Far Cry games (3,4,5) are pretty good for having plenty of combat in an open world with not loads of random loot.

Middle Earth Shadow of War was prettygood with a lot of different orc captains.

They did ruin the game some when they changed the Orc Merchant.

Now you can't open Orc packs WITH IN-GAME GOLD(forget real money)

but the game is solid in leveling up & acquiring different bodyguards and making the orcs fight eachother..

~ Metal Gear Solid V & Farcry are my fav freedom style games..
