Last 'addictive' game?

By addivtive, I don't mean a generally like to a game, but a game where you couldn't let go of the controller, very addictive and you immensely enjoyed every aspect to it.

It's been awhile since I had that 'top' game experience, but Vanquish was surprisingly awesome. Just finished story mode and now going through 2nd playthrough :|

World of Warcraft.. since 2007

Skyrim for a while but it's died down now.

Gears of War 3.

If you arent totally against a little challenge try dark souls. A lot of people think they are very difficult, but if u can stay calm and not rage out you will love it.... first playthrough will take probably 60 hours, and if u are like me you will want to make a new character right away and keep playing... I have more than 200 hours in the game.

Castle Crashers.

Skyrim for a while but it's died down now.

Rayman Origins, I keep saying "one more level"

Last game I was "addicted" to was probably Metroid Prime. Haven't really played a game since that has matched it.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and Rayman Origins

Shift 2 Unleashed for me. Played it for a couple months at launch, and now I've been playing it for another month. There's such a tremendous variety of tracks in the game, no matter how long I play it I can always find a few I haven't raced on in a long time and could re-familiarize myself with. And there are such deep and complex differences in the handling of each car, I can drive one for half an hour before I really discover what areas I can push it and what areas I need to be a bit more conservative. And there's an incredibly deep tuning suite as well.

And then there's that Autolog feature that displays your friends' best times in each race. Even after you win a race, the challenge has just begun because now I want to get the best time. And it's even better if you can beat your friends while using a car that's a lot less powerful than the ones that they used.

Red Dead Redemption & Demon's Souls . these games never gets boring .

The latest one to be newly released is probably Skyrim. That being said, I'mm playing an older title at the moment which can be quite addicting,.

havent really had that feeling with any games recently, but the most recent one would have to be Battlefield: Bad Company 2, played that game from release till battlefield when the community died to much. good times with that game, good times.

I know its a boring game but i'd have to say Skyrim, i want to complete as much of it as i can before i get rid of it.

However, as usual, an important quest is bugged and i can't progress in the crappy civil war storyline.

Deus Ex was an amazing game, so sexy. Great gameplay. Feel bad that i sold it after completion.

The endings were godawful though.

I know its a boring game but i'd have to say Skyrim, i want to complete as much of it as i can before i get rid of it.

I just completed the civil war storyline. What an underwhelming ending, s expected. I might sell it soon or keep it if i decide to start a collection.

Resident Evil 4

Last one was Skyrim.

The ME series and Red Dead redemption. The only games this gen I haven't been able to put down.

When I play Shogun II I enter a strange dimension where time goes twice as fast.

This is going to make me look old, but seriously the last games I played in an addictive style were old school strategy games like Master of Orion, Master of Magic, Colonization, and Civilization. I know they still make Civ games but I havent had a gaming PC in years. Now a days I never play a game more than 3 hours straight, but those games I used to play for 10 hours + ata time.
