I found these two pictures on a recent article on Listverse. As soon as I saw them the absolute first thing I thought of was Kaiden and Ashley's models from ME1. Odd, considering that I am not playing Mass Effect nor have I in months.
Seeing as the game is set almost 200 years in the future, I thought that perhaps designing your two human squadmates in line with monoethnicism might be a nod from bioware. I thought it was interesting to look at.
Anybody else see it?
Pay attention to her hair, and the size of her lips. Ashley's eyes are bigger, but the facial structure itself is very similar. Looking at either of them you can't really place them as distinctly white or Hispanic, they've both got this... kinda -different- look. Overall, props to Bioware if this was intentional since they never mention it outright in any of the games, it's a very subtle detail that I think should be appreciated.I definitely see Kaiden's resemblence, but not so much Ashley's.
