Everyone has been useing this word alot these past whew days, and I haven't heard of it at all before then so it must be a new word or something...can someone fill me in on what it is?

..new word? Jagges have been around ever since the first 3D game was introduced. Its just another word for aliasing, which means all textures and character models have little jaggies all around them if no Anti Aliasing is applied to smooth them out. Only consoles to start using AA is PS3 and Xbox 360. Computer games have been jaggie free for well over a decade ;)

The first console to use AA was actually the nintendo 64

Here's a quick picture that show's you the difference between an aliased line (with "jaggies"), and an anti-aliased line:



Just so you're not confused in case you research aliasing/anti-aliasing...aliasing can refer to many things.  When we talk about jaggies, we're specifically talking about aliasing at line edges that causes lines to have a"jagged" appearence.  Most commonly graphics processors use multi-sample anti-aliasing to make draw line edges in a smoother fashion.
