So I have a 360 and a PSP but I miss some of the older games and PS2 exclusives and seeing how the PS2 is so cheap these days i figured i could either get one or spend the money for some bike parts (which probably would be a dumb thing to do in the end of the season)

You see I had an Atari then a NES (Im 23 ,they are my dad's) and after that it was pretty much PC gaming for me

So go ahead and convince me

I just bought a Slim a few weeks ago and so far Im very pleased. Their is a crazy amount of good games that are super cheap right now.

Buying it has pretty much convinced to just focus on it until 360 and PS3 games start to drop in price like they have. I mean when you can get like 6-7 great PS2 games that have just as much content and only weaker graphics for the price of one 360/PS3 game its hard to justify in my mind buying any current gen games unless theyre a must buy type like Modern Warfare 2.

The truth is there's never been a better time to get a ps2. The slim is dirt cheap these days, and you can pretty much get any ps2 game that ever came out, at online shops, at really budget prices. Matter of fact, A fewer months a go, I bought a Ps2 slim to compliment my PC(cause I'm mainly PC gamer) and I've been loving the ps2...

I'd say don't think, just do!!!

If the expansive library, and dirt cheap prices don't convince you then you've pretty much already made up your mind. Trust me when I say this; It's worth it.

PS2 still has the largest stock at my local EB. Every time I've wanted a game they've had it either new or pre-owned. And for cheap too. It's a no brainer really: 1. Cheap games. 2. Good availability. 3. Cheap console. 4. Home to some of the best games of the last generation.

I have a PS2 that is still working for 8 years now and when i bought it, it was $500. Now it is about $100. With all the great games and seeing how they are cheap or half the price of PS3 games i think you should get it becasue you are missing a lot of gaming.

I'd definitely suggest getting one. There's a massive library of games; some real classics. Also, it's all cheap.

Another nice selling point besides being able to play a slew of games, is the warranty - one year for a new PS2 slim.

What does the PS3 offer now - three months? For $50.00 to $100.00 you can play the piss out of it and then get it fixed/replaced if it cacks during the year.

A couple weeks ago Costco in Canada had a PS2 bundle for $50.00 - PS2 slim with external power supply, one game (Jax 3 or Sly etc), a bonus wireless controller and a Katana 16 mb memory card.
