I need a good First Person Shooter game.

Hi guys! I'm new on the forums. This is my first post too. I'm looking for a good fps game that isn't really hardware demanding and is free or under $20 on steam. Something like CS:GO but better graphics. My GPU only has 2GB VRam so not something with graphics beyond comprehension. It cant use too much disk space as well because I only have a 120GB SSD

I built a new pc and is looking for games to play. If it helps to find a game then these are my specs.

Red Orchestra 2 has a free base playing game. Tribes Ascend (although that's not really like Counterstrike).

If you really liked Counterstrike, I'd recommend Insurgency, but this costs money, the upshot, is that it is updated frequently with all content free.

Not a normal fps shooter, but fallout new vegas is pretty great.

Dirty Bomb if you can get into the beta :) Such a solid game already.

heroes and generals is awesome or block n load for light fun or tf2 or loadout

• Left4Dead2 isn't free but it's incredibly fun with friends.
• Team Fortress 2 is completely free and possibly one of the best team-based FPS games out there.
• S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl is available cheap these days, isn't very demanding, and a great horror title.
• Portal and Portal 2 are great puzzle games (not shooters but not very hardware demanding).

well to keep it basic i'd say Cod 2 - 4 - 5 or BF BC2 - 2 - 1943 or 4

Deus ex human revolution, its futuristic but not over the top plus no aliens. Its an epic fps.

@dylandr: dont know what you mean. You can play stealthy or guns blazing. If you mean the boss fights i thonk the directors edition sorted all that out.

@ariabed: Nope the bossfight still can only be won by brute force

@dylandr: in the Director's Cut they redesigned the bosses to be taken out with anything other than brutal force.

Fallout 3 & Fallout New Vegas are really good. PC.

Just wondering if Combat Arms is a good game or not.

@verxon Try Bulletstorm. Great FPS with no nonsense and superb action throughout. Other great FPS are Half Life 2, Bioshock, Crysis series, Metro 2033 & Metro Last Light.

Any thoughts on double action boogaloo?

you can buy Deus EX , Bioshock or Metro games if you are looking for single player one .

if you are looking for multiplayer .. try Battlefield 3 or 4 . also you can try Planetside and tribes ( they are free 2 play )

I've heard good things about the Shadow Warrior remake.

I think Rainbow Six Siege is supposed to be a lot like Counter-Strike, there's your terrorist and counter-terrorists, I know sometimes the counter-terrorists rescue hostages. I will just assume if there's an offensive terrorism mode it will involve planting a bomb or something terroristy.

If you're looking for a present-day shooter, Payday 2 is excellent.

If you're into Gothic/Satanic/Post Apocalyptic, try Painkiller (you can get the Black Edition or the Hell & Damnation remaster but this one will require you to buy DLCs to have the complete version...).

If you're into horror, try Clive Barker's Jericho.

If you want some post-apocalyptic cold and very soviet atmospheric game, try the Stalker serie.

F.E.A.R is a great series that should be played.

I would personally wait for the new battlefield!
