Hi I love playing fighting games, such as Raging Blast 2, when an opponent is beating me I spam attack, mash buttons and glitch to win, I truly am an opponent to be feared with my spam attacks and glitch attacks, nobody can mash buttons like me. I also ragequit because I am a great fighter.

I despise cheaters in any fighting game. What do you think GameSpot community?

@Lulu_Lulu: Thanks man, some people say it's a noob style but how is tapping square square square square square square X square square triangle square square a noob style? It's a complex style.

If it gets the job done, I have no complaints. I personally don't do it, but if I truly am good at a fighting game I should beat anyone who spams a lot. Unless its a heavily reliant spam game like Tekken.

@CoquiNegro: I have complaints when people are so crap at a game they have to resort to cheating then have the nerve to call me a loser when they did something losers do. Arrghh!

Here's a question I have...

If you are the best player at fighting games...

Then why haven't I seen you win tournaments like EVO then?

As a general rule, if the game you're playing allows glitching, it's a shit game.

Well if spamming the same crap over and over helps you get the win, it's your opponent that's at fault, not you. More power to you, I guess. Most any relatively decent fighter gives anyone the ability to harshly punish someone who goes tot he well once too often, though many times people who do fall for that are simply not good enough or knowledgeable enough, so they just make excuses/house rules and put themselves into a cage of their own construction and convince themselves that the people beating them are playing "without honor" or some lame crap like that.

Apparently so, but fighting games take more than just mashing buttons to win here. I know that this is supposed to be a fun thread and all that, but we have to be realistic.

Depends on what game and who you are playing. Remember the Ken scrubs from Street Fighter 4 when it first came out? LMAO. Why waste the effort of mixing thing up when you could just knock them down once, block their wake up fierce shoryuken, throw them, and then repeat that same damn thing until you win?

I wish I could be this good. (I'm on a whole other level of glitching/cheating) ^_^ I never even heard of 'spam tactics' til this thread.

That's on them though. People like them never learn. Using the same move, over and over again, won't help you win battles. You have to mix it up constantly and be unpredictable all the time. People expect certain moves or trademarks out of you, that's OK, but if you rely on them like a crutch, you won't get far. And yes, I do remember the Ken scrubs. I was like "Really? You're going to do that all day to me?" LMFAO!

Part of it was joking, but most of it wasn't either. EVO is the best fighting game tournament in the world, bringing in the best players of their own games there. If you think spamming the hundred-hand slap with E.Honda will get you to win, you're full of it, you know? Spamming is not that wonderful of a technique to try against a more hardcore player at the game.

I hardly play Tekken anymore because juggling has become an integral part of the gameplay. I used to know Tekken as the realistic fighting game with supernatural elements. Now, I know it as a stylized fighter in which using combos on an opponent's legs while they are stuck in the air is the way to do expert combos. The Mishima bloodline all use distorted versions of the original style now. I would not call them variations.

Street Fighter has become my favorite fighting game because of that ridiculous decision.

Justin Wong was at once forbbiden to enter a Marvel vs Capcom 2 since they didn't want him to...you know, beat the heck out of everyone...

At least that's what i heard, but as far as i know, is only a myth based on the fact that one organizer indeed wanted to ban him from the tournament.

Last time I seriously played a fighting game was Dead or Alive: Ultimate back on the original Xbox, which was one of the first fighting games with online multiplayer. I was ranked in the top 100 worldwide back at the time.
