i started at 5 with pokemon games. i never really got into gaming until i was 12 when i got an xbox. i know a guy that started playing when he was 1. >_>

Damn, and I thought I started young at 2 years old with my Game Boy and Genesis lol. You're the only person I've ever seen that started playing at a younger age than me lol.
I was about seven when I started playing video games. The first video game console I played was the Atari VCS (now known as the 2600) in 1982.
It is nice to see old-time gamers mentioning the Atari 2600 and the Intellivision as the 1980s was the decade I fondly remember in terms of video games.
i think at like.. hmm.. 5 ? I was playing doom 2 pretty quickly, it scared me to hell. The playstation version especially.. it's more gritty / scarier music.. unlike pc's Midi files. Even babies crying in the background, that game still gives me the chills.
I think I was 2, My dad played the original sonic game and I watched him play it, He then let me have a go...After-that I would not let him play on it again, And he says I was the reason he doesn't play games anymore
I have been around 7 I think.I started playing at my friends with the C64,NES,Amiga 500 and stuff like that and my parents had been against it.I got my first own console with 11,the week the SNES came out :D Well that started it.Fpllowed by Genesis/Mega Drive,Mega CD/Sega CD,Saturn,PS1,DC,XBox,PS2 and XBox360...now I´m 26 and playing since 19 years...oh man,I´m getting old...
Wow this thread brings back so much memory for me, but I remember playing The Legend of Zelda when I was only 3 years old. I had a great time even though I didn't have a clue what I was doing at the time.
At 6 years old with either the original Game Boy model or the Sega Genesis (my dad gave them to me) but I REALLY didn't start gaming until about 7 when I got a Ps2 for XMAS.
i think i was about 5 or 6 years old when my dad brought home an old IBM computer from a garage sale. it had about 30 games with it, all on Floppy Disc. I remember playing Jumpman on it... and it also had King's Quest games (i think that's what they were called, the ones made by Sierra.)
I'll always remember the day I found the two Leisure Suit Larry Games in there...
