It all depends on the game for me. I can burn out on some after just an hour or so usually, but others I'll consistently lose myself in for like 8 hours or more at a time (and usually while feeling like barely any time has passed - I'm looking at you, Witcher 3). My average these days is probably about 2-3 hours though.

Which is, just... man. Young Me would be so disappointed.

Usually 3 hours, although sometimes I can get very immersed and it can get to 5-6.

I played Far Cry 5 after its release and played for around 13 hours straight without having a break even for a minute :P
That was my dedication

My max these days are about 2-4 hours before I loose focus or need to switch games. I used to be able to play all day straight without break, but those days are long gone

Not long enough to actually finish any games I've bought in the last few years.

Switch handheld, probably a couple of hours before I get hand cramp. Tv mode, about 2-3 hours and then it's butt cramp.

If it's a new release that's really good, then I think my record was about 5 hours or so.

They say that amount of time you spend on technology is the same amount you should go outside. I'd say 3-5 hours if you actually have nothing else to do. Maybe more if you REALLY have nothing to do. Or if you're on a grind. I'd say 12 hours is too many, so if your gaming below 10 hours it would be okay. Unless your gaming for 9 hours every day.

Depending on the game, 4 is usually my cutoff where I feel like I should rethink my plans for the day. That being said, if I have a buddy with me or am playing online with friends, I can see myself pushing beyond 4.

I can play a game for 2 hours straight only because I can't stand too many hours playing a game. I also want to watch a movie or do something else

For me, it varies based on the game. A game where there is constantly something to do like Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild could probably keep me engaged until I stop to grab a snack. Then it's back to playing. For me, a game which can be played for a great length of time is usually an action-adventure RPG with dozens of hours of side quests with different features.

An example of a game I can't okay for too long is Sea of Thieves. The first few hours might be a fun time with some friends but after a while, the monotony of each voyage starts to take its toll and I'm tempted to either log off or switch to something else. I feel like a game always needs something to keep the player on their toes in order to get any serious amounts of hours played, which is something that many games lack.

In the end, I think that the real question is,"Which game keeps you engaged for the longest?". Game developers should always try to add as much variety into their game as possible without making it convoluted or confusing.

It depends whether I play a game alone or with friends. A well designed Singleplayer Game will keep me immersed for maybe 2-3 hours, a good round of like Total War with a friend can take up to 10 hours on a very good day!

See I cant play very often as I am busy but when I do play I normally play a game like for an example GTA 5 online every day for a month... ( i know I don't do that very much any more) I would not click on that game for a good month or so. But as per day, I have a very short attention span and I spend like 3 hrs then do something else then come back.

When I break in a new game I can go for more but the average is 2 hours.
