I can't believe this went over my head. I'm so looking forward to this!

The first game is an absolute gem.

Now I realise I'm like 4 years late finding out about this.

Because nobody is talking about it. The game barely has an audience, so it's to be expected, but I have my eye on it as well, having loved the original at the time.

I just assumed it was cancelled.

@Black_Knight_00: Yeah I assumed it was a pretty obscure title.

It’s Wiki states that it’ll release soon after this year.

The hype died many moons ago for this. I think it would bomb if it was released now.

Psychonauts ....

I've know about it for a while. I just hope it turns out well. I know Double Fine didn't run the smoothest crowd-funding campaign with Broken Age (I think that is a big understatement, but I didn't follow it closely).

Psychonauts was a friggin' gem on the OG Xbox though. I actually recently played it on PC and it still holds up with it's Tim Burton-esque art style.

@pyro1245: Yeah I played it for the first time on PC in 2015.

I really hope it’s a worthy sequel and hopefully the lack of backers didn’t discourage them. It’d be a pretty tough job for the sequel to be just as good or better than the first game imo.

@robert_sparkes: Hope not! Last thing I heard before hearing about this news was Psychonaughts VR? Pretty sure it was a flop.

My sister loved it on our original Xbox, and when she gave me her 360, she had our original copy of Psychonauts.

Hey, did you know Abe's Odyssey is getting a sequel as well...awesome shit.

@saltslasher: That's a game that I gotta invest time into. I knew about it growing up but never got into it. Played a few levels of the remake with a mate on the PS4. Pretty fun. :)

Psychonauts is one of my all-time favorite games. I think I've bought it 3 or 4 times. I found it in a bargain-bin for original X-Box. I kinda missed it on release, but then I read a review and had to have it. Bought it again for PS2 for some reason and I got it off PS-store and possibly Microsoft Shop for newer generations of consoles. . I love the zany humour and weird gameplay. Hope they don't change too much to appeal to a wider audience.

@saltslasher: What do you mean? So far there's been three sequels to Abe's Odyssey if you count Stranger's Wrath.

The original was ugly and nothing to write home about.

Be carful what you wish for.

@Sevenizz: It definitely had a unique art style. I liked it though. :)

@heljar75: Yeah there's definitely a chemistry in the first game that I hope is present in the sequel also.

Hopefully they have brought back some if not all of the original writers because the dialogue was great.

@khalilinfo7: I liked the idea of the first game having the hub world as the campground. But, we won’t be getting that in the sequel. I think it’s Psychonaughts HQ instead.
