Help me remember the name of this game

I played a Nintendo game in the early 90's that I thought was called haunted mansion, but my memory isn't the greatest. You went to different rooms and looked and found items

I think the game you're looking for is Maniac Mansion which was on the NES in the early 90's. I might be wrong on this though, but hope that helps.
