This is a conversation that took place between my mom and I after she saw me playing the Bioshock demo.
Mom: What the hell is that!?!
Me: Bioshock.
Mom: He's shooting up! That's real nice, Kristopher!
Me: That's how he gets his energy! (bad choice of words lol)
Mom: Oh yeah, I bet it is!
So that's why I don't play M-rated games in front of her now.

By the way if your parents don't care about Violent Games then, show them the 'Strogg Medical Facilities' level in 'Quake 4'
Don't take me wrong because I'm a big fan of All Quake Games:D:D:D:D

LOL! It kind of reminds me in those situations when a person walks in the wrong time. If your parents know Spanish, they'd probably notice all the cursing the Ganados do in RE4.
Me and my brother playing Halo:
Halo Theme: oh...ah ah (you know the humming part)
Mom: What happened!? Did the Pope die?
BRother: No, it's just the game!
Yes, twice, both of them a long time ago. The first time I was playing the mortal kombat 1 at the arcade, my father came there to drag me home and was shocked by the pit fatality with the severed heads on the blades. The second time the game was Tenchu and one of its stealth kills.
Since then, whenever I'm playing a violent game and someone that may be offended is near, I hit the pause button.
(yeah, you can't pause at the arcades, but arcades are dead anyway)
My mum wasn't too happy with GTA but that might have been because I'd got my Dad to play it at the time, Seriously he can't be bothered to do anything but punch prostitutes and have a laughing fit...
Weird really but keeps him amused I guess...
My mom is fine with it. Back when God of War came out she was in the room while i was playing and even made a comment about how the women in the game wore see-through clothes but was about it and she just went on her merry way.
My dad however was not so open about some games. I remember playing Dead to Rights and was at the one mini-game where you had to distract the guards with the stripper. I was going on playing the gmae, failed the mini-game like 3 or 4 times and still keep on trying and my dad was like "what are you playing?" and I was like "a video game" and he was not too happy cause if anyone remembers the stipper makes some not so appropriate noises the more you succedd. So I was like well Im trying to distract the guard with the stripper. Lets just say he did not like that answer.
Although Im not quite sure how my mom would have reacted to the stripper mini-game but i dont think ti would have been so bad.
