I was wondering which of the 2 is the "best"?

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2

or

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3

I played the PS3 version and I loved it.

Budokai 3 is the best. The only thing Tenchaichi had going for it was the rediculous number of characters but the fighting system and camera left a lot to be desired.

Utterly rubbish.

Tenchaichi is the best.

Reasons:

1. The world during fighting is open and free form.(budokais is similar to tekken, 2d)

2. ALL the dbz characters whereas budokai has min.

3. It's similar to ESF, the HL mod. each battle is open, massive and free form!

Simple, read a review of it or take a look at pictures, but Tenchaichi is DEFINITELY the best

budokai 3 is better. tenkaichi 2 is repetitive the more you play it, its only good during the first playthru, after that it gets old. budokai 3's gameplay is way deeper than tenkaichi, even if they dont have as much characters as tenkaichi 2. tenkaichi is more on the casual gamer side while budokai is more on the hardcore type. both are good games, but budokai 3 is a better fighting game.

Thank you all for the reponses. In Tenkaichi I've noticed that you only have like one attack button (quare).

Tekken games have: High kick, low kick, high punch etc...

Your posts have interestings facts that I can't read from reviews or youtube video's. At the moment I'm liking budokai more, still there is doubt.

I liked the Budokai series more because of the classic 2D fighting style and not that weird camera angle that came with the Tenkaichi series.

Burst Limit is better than both, but Budokai 3 is much better than any Tenkaichi game.

Budokai 3 Greatest Hits version. That game is awesome and you get extra costumes on the GH version. The Tenkaichi's are really good as well but the stages are not as open as you would think. They still have barrier walls that you bump into.

I've bought Budokai 3 and I must say that I'm pleased. I experienced the free roaming levels in Tenchaichi as an annoying game-element. The simple 2d battling style like e.g. Tekken really does it for me :)

Thanks all!
