Check out www.gamefaqs.com They have walkthroughs that will help you. Also, the Prima Official Strategy Guide is a nice addition.

The stats and character building are very forgiving, so you really can't make a bad unplayable character. Having high Agility will help give you more time in VATS (combat) mode, and high Intelligence will help when you level up so you can boost your skills more.

True, and if you do all the sidequests you should be able to max out a handful of skills.

Focus on raising the "Small Arms" skill or the "Energy Weapons" skill but not both. Sell all the ammo you find for the weapon skill that you didn't pick.

The two skills essentially do the same thing with a different class of weapon. Both classes of weapon are good but you only need one.

i suggest staying away from the main storyline and exploring the wastelands. dont get caught up playing the story or ull beat it 2 soon. the best skills to raise i would say are the repair, lockpick, science and either the small guns or energy weapons. have fun!

One tip in mind: Make sure your charisma is high.
