GGD Lounge - Back To School Edition

Hello everyone, I figured we were about due for a new lounge since the old one is dead and summer is ending. What do you folks have going on? I'm starting back at school today after five years away. I'm cooking some breakfast right now and getting ready to ride down to school. It is going to be great. Last night my friend and I placed an order for some new brewing equipment. We are going to graduate from making 1 gallon batches on up to being able to do two 5 gallon batches at a time. I can't wait for it to get here. I'm probably more excited about that than I am about going back to school.:P

Anyway, you know the rules. No religion, no politics and most definitely no system wars. Stop in and chat a while.:)

Not much happening on my end. Working through Bastion on PC right now, which has been great. Lot longer than I thought it'd be. That's about it.

I'm not actually going back to school this fall as I will be pursuing higher education through the military :P

Still, definitely my favorite time of the year!

Wish I could be going back to school, but not now. I have other things going on.

Hopefully, things will be on the up and up soon!

I have to hit my desk again with my fellow students on the 29th. I get Deus Ex HR on the 26th. How life can have crap moments but give a shine of light through that anyway.

School begins on Wednesday with an early early 7:30 AM class for me. :(Yagr_Zero

My problem wouldn't be getting up that early but being attentive in class. Can you not switch it out for a later section?

How does that stay sealed?

^ It doesn't need to be sealed actually. That is just the kettle where we boil all of our ingredients. From there, we cool down and transfer our wortover to a sealed fermentation bottle where it sits for several days until it is done fermenting.

It is fun stuff. I also bought a three foot long wooden stirring paddle the other day and we are going to get a propane powered heater so that we can stand around and cook beer in my back yard. It isn't as fun to crowd around in a kitchen and do this stuff. We've got a good five or six people that want to come over and watch us make our first big batch. It will be great to have people to help us stir.rragnaar
