I haven't had a computer for 6 years but I'm finally going to have one that can actually play games.

I've had an xbox 360 the last few years but I haven't really kept up with gaming. Now that I am going to have a computer and the xbox 360 is going the way of the dinosaur, I was wondering what some good games are on the PC? I am mostly into single player RPG's - the last computer game I played was Gothic 3, and I like games similar to Skyrim or Two Worlds II, but I am also interested in a limited amount of MMORPG's - used to play Everquest. I also occasionally play FPS like Halo and Battlefield.

I've been looking at kingdom come deliverance but that doesn't come out for another year. I was just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of some good games that are fun. I've been reading online but there is a ton of stuff out there and it is hard to narrow it down at all.

Well, The witcher 1 and 2 (if you did not check out TW2 on console).

Divinity: Original Sin just came out, which so far is fairly impressive and rather fun.

Divinity 2 th dragon knight saga, might also be worth looking into.

If you did not play the STALKER games they might be worth it (an aquired taste though).

Neverwinter Nights 2

Risen and Risen 2 (if you liked Gothic 3)

Those are the likely RPG's I would consider that covers the timeframe (only ever advice games I am playing or have playied).

As for FPS games? well if you like SP FPS games.

Shadow Warrior

Singularity

And Multiplayer FPS games:

Red Orchestra 2

Planetside 2 (a bit iffy, but F2P so nothing lost there).

Killing Floor (oldish, ugly but a lot of fun for a relatively small package, high hopes for the sequel).

BF4 (caviot, never had any issues with the game, but alot of people DO across multiple platforms, so milage may vary)

CS:GO

MMO: Well I only ever playied one MMO I kind of liked, which would be Guild Wars 2, so I guess that, but I am not the person to give advice on such Things :\

In addition I would like to suggest Dragon Age: Origins + Awakening expansion, this game has plenty of mods too, great RPG. New to modding? www.nexusmods.com will get you started.

oh, please don't direct any more people to the nexus right now. :p

Steam sale is killing us. Can't download anything because the servers are constantly at capacity with all the people who just bought TES, ME, DA, FO, etc, etc for $1 stocking up on mods.

If you like point and clicks, be sure to check the book of unwritten tales. It's really funny.

For FPS suggestions Left 4 Dead 2 and Team Fortress 2 are the greatest.

Yep. I was trying to download a small mod for State of Decay off the Nexus and was having alot of problems with the site :P.

I reccommend Divinity: Original Sin. Since you've come back into gaming, it's a great start as alot of people are discussing it right now and experiencing it for the first time as well.
