I'm in a kind of book slump. I keep getting books based off of games. They aren't all bad, but I keep looking for something better. Can anyone recommend a book series that is good? (i've already read the Halo series)

Thanks, I'll havecheck them out, those are some of my favoritegame series, but I was looking more for the knights and dragons type book. The otherday, I picked up one of the Dragon Age: Origins books and almost bought it, but the storyjust didn't seem good, can anyone tell me of ot's worthbuying?
Mass Effect
Metal Gear Solid (Although strictly taken right from the games)
Gears Of War
World Of Warcraft
Warhammer
Thanks guys. I've already tried the Warcraft series and it was a bit boring. I just got a copy of Gears and you guys were right, it is really good. A friend of mine read the Splinter cell series, and said it was good. But I have one question to ask, does it follow the story?

Centurion1000
Not really. It's kind of on its own thing.
If you're into nonfiction, I suggest the following:
Game Over: A book that covers Nintendo's history from the beginning. The book is about 10 years old now, but it's still a good read because you learn about Nintendo's design philosophies, which still holds true today.
The Ultimate History of Video Games: This book might be more appealing since it covers everything about the industry, and even covers the times before there were videogames, where certain games were outlawed.
Thanks everyone! I have picked up a couple of the books that you guys told me about, and haven't been disappointed so far.
If you're interested in something a bit more esoteric, try finding a copy of Lucky Wander Boy. It's not based on any individual game series. It's a story about a guy who becomes obsessed with making a sort of encyclopedia about classic video games and with his desire to find a working copy of his favorite childhood arcade game, Lucky Wander Boy.
