I'm talking, for instance, like the interrogation scenes in Splinter Cell Conviction. Or Fight Club (movie). Or even UFC Undisputed. But I want the last gen games, something where it's really visceral and you feel that power and the damage is shown cool.

That does sound creepy haha

Punisher has some pretty extreme interrogation scenes. They had to censor it because it was threatened with an AO. There are ways around this censorship though. It was available on Xbox, PS2 and PC. I play it whenever I want to play something really brutal. That or the original Manhunt.

Heres some vids for Punisher interrogations, may contain spoilers...

Nobody mentioned The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay? The fighting mechanics were very good and visceral.

Yakuza 1 & 2 and Punisher. The interrogation scene with the Rhino was my favorite! Lol!

Literally beat the crap out of people? If you are talking fecal matter shooting out of enemies; I only know one game. That's Conkers Bad Fur Day. If you mean games with a lot of violence and satifying kills...

  • Battletoads for NES
  • Any Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat game
  • Perfect Dark or any Doom game
  • Manhunt
  • Silent Hill series has some mean monster beatdowns; throw Resident Evils in there too

Probably some boxing game..

Personally I like Postal 2 and GTA 4 the best here, jacking a knife through someones ribs and then kicking them in the sides while they crawl up is just.. a good way to relieve stress. And Postal.. well if you know Postal 2 you know what I mean.

Psi Ops was awesome for this aswell, though you don't have great melee attacks the other ways of emptying your rage bucket are marvelous.

condemned criminal origins is mostly focused on melee style combat , you can knock junkies teeth out with a 2x4 with screws sticking out or use a pipe or a crowbar...good times.

for a brawler I like Urban Reign. The combat system is excellent and there's hidden co-op, 4 player vs. Tons of fighting moves and the animation is fluid. The difficulty is kind of wacked though - the minions are easy to beat but some of the boss fights are tough as hell.
