i've been playing a lot of hearthstone lately. it's a really solid trading card game and the matches only last around 10 minutes (often less). there are daily activities that you can complete well within 2 hours. it's on PC too, but you could probably find a few more minutes of time in your day to game if you get it on a tablet.

What systems do you own, and what kind of genre would you prefer?

Try some Ludum Challenge games. A lot of them take 10-30 minutes to beat. They're all free and they were all made in 48 hours.

Sadly I have to agree. Mobile games allows you to pick up and play with ease and you can pause it anytime the baby starts crying.

Anything with quicksaves, really. Avoid most japanese games as they generally have few and far between save points/checkpoints

I am not an Arma expert and I haven't played Arma 3 yet, but I have played Arma 2 and if Arma 3 is anything like Arma 2,yes. It will take out a chuck of your time. Most of the time goes straight into learning how to play the game which does take long while even with a guide.

Operation Flashpoint is an older game so I imagine Arma 3 setup is more complex and difficulty.

Hope I helped! =)

I recently picked up desktop dungeons and its a coffee break roguelike with a fantasy setting, I don't know if it is your sort of thing but it fits well with the games you can play a little bit of here and there.

Also +1 to Tokeism's list.

I would go for smaller indie games, those can usually fill your need there. Walkling Dead, flowe, Wolf Among Us, Journey, Braid, Brothers, etc

You should get yourself a 3DS. The "portable" and "no time to play" really go hand in hand. The game design, for the most part, caters to that style. I just picked up Mario Golf. Amazing game and you can easily get in a few holes, or get sucked in and finish an entire course in one sitting.

Any multiplayer game. I think that really any game can be played that way. I didn't have much time for gaming at one point. It took me months to get through FF13. Just a few hours every couple days. I think it makes long games better when you play them gradually (Although many times nowadays I can't seem to put down games I like.

Seek motivation to play

Life, like all other games, becomes fun when one realizes that it's just a game. Nerijus Stasiulis

The game is my life. It demands loyalty and responsibility, and it gives me back fulfillment and peace. Michael Jordan

PC games I like that can be played in short periods:

Portal
Portal 2
Bastion
Super Meat Boy (much better with a gamepad)
Braid
World of Goo
Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+
Angry Birds
Angry Birds Space
Plants vs Zombies
Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien (a little better with a gamepad)
Guacamelee! (much better with a gamepad)
Super Street Fighter IV (much better with a gamepad)

There are also many great sports games for the PC, which also can easily be played in short sessions.
