Favorite video game accomplishment.

What is the best thing you have ever done in a video game,whether it be beating a hard game,finding a hidden easter egg,beating an optional boss etc,etc.List some of your favorite accomplishments Some of mine are

• Beating Final fantasy IX
• Beating the bomber man for the original Gameboy
• Beating the elite 4 in pokemon blue-saphire
• Getting that Giant sword in Zelda OOT-Sorry I forgot the name.
• Getting killed by that giant Dr Salvidor in Resident evil 4-It was such an awesome,yet scary moment
• Getting my typhlosion to level 100 in pokemon gold

These are just a few of mine for right now,name some of yours.It can be anything that you found and or did that made you proud.

Finally capturing all 151 Pokemon was probably my happiest accomplishment.

The first time I beat all 8 bosses in Megaman 3 was also pretty thrilling.

getting a Gold Chocobo and The Knights Of The Round materia in Final Fantasy VII

beating the 16-bit Sonic games with all the Chaos Emeralds

completing Metal Gear Solid having succesfully completed the torture scene, thus saving Meryl

Defeating the last Trainer, Red, in Pokemon Silver.

One I did recently that I can think of id getting a chaos emerald in the first Sonic. I'd never been able to do it before.

Aside from finishing games? Hm I don't know if this was an accomplishment or not, but I did get the FF 3 glitch by accident. The one wherein you had unlimited weapons and miscellanous stuff like dirks, the shield ( rune? sorry it's been years since I last saw FF3 ) that teaches you Ultima, and those Economizer things.

first time I beat super ghouls 'n ghosts

beating castlevania: circle of the moon (prob won't ever beat it again)

beating devil may cry 1/3

on PC

being in a top 10 TFC clan in multiple U.S. leagues back when TFC had an active community in terms of league play

Being a top 5 mage on tichondrius throughout all of B.C. (prob could still be doing this but I hate WoW now lol)

being able to torch and anni farm in diablo 2

phys killing ONE of the best hidden: source players

Beating Halo 1 solo and co op on Legendary. Beating Morrowind and GTA 4 was cool too.

Beating the final level of Half Life 2: Episode 2. Heart was pounding and simply gave out a sigh of relief.

First off, excellent thread TC. My favorite accomplishments, in particular order :

1) Got all the Pokemon in Pokemon Yellow

2) Finishing Resident Evil 4 - Professional Mode - No Merchant, Unupgraded Handgun and Combat Knife only run.

3) Knowing that I can fight Penance anytime in FF X (I maxed out stats and all)

4) Finishing Metal Gear Solid on Extreme... on the PC. I DARE U 2 BEAT PSYCHO MANTIS USING THE KEYBOARD!!!

5) Finishing God of War God Mode No Upgrade Run (till Ares first form)

6) Finishing God Of War II Titan Mode No Upgrade Run

7) Finishing Metal Gear Solid 3 : Snake Eater/Subsistence on Extreme and getting Foxhound rank

8) Defeating Ozma in Final Fantasy IX

9) Finishing all side-quests in Final Fantasy VII

10) Finishing Legend Of Zelda Ocarina of Time fully (all side-quests, all hearts, all Gold Skulltulas)

11) Finishing all the Missions in Crisis Core : Final Fantasy VII

12) Finishing Master Ninja Mode in Ninja Gaiden Black.

Getting a full pokedex of the hoenn region pokemon in ruby. That took me quite a lot of time.

Beating Event 51 on SSBM with Pikachu.
I tried that Jigglypuff method but they kept getting back on the stage after the ping.

Getting into a weapon deadlock with Lu Bu and overpowering him on one of the Dynasty Warriors.

Getting all 251 pokemon on Silver, the only exception being Celebi who I had to use a GS for.
Also having an entire party made of Eevee evolutions that was also a family since they were all from the same Jolteon parents

I guess my proudest achievement was beating Super Mario Land for GB...first game I ever beat. Beating Tetris too where you see some rocket take off was cool too

Finishing Super Mario Bros. in 5 minutes 54 seconds exactly. II-Keyran-II

Unlocking cheats in Goldeneye were so satisfying. Especially the one in the Library on 00 agent. I think it was for invulnerability, but damn that was hard.

Edit: It was Archives and invisibility. Close enough.

Completely finishing Final Fantasy 3, including defeating all the dragons and conquering the Tower of Fanatics (it took a long time to figure out how to defeat the Ultima casting boss at the top of that tower!)

Truly one of the most satisfying gaming experiences of all time.

This. Man, that was a while back. I may have played Pokemon once since then.

Probably finishing streets of rage 1 on the megadrive when i was like 5. lol

Beated my frien in Super Smash Bros 64 like 10 times in a row and hited a boss with a 15 card combo and 2000 HP damage at LVL 15 in Baten Kaitos Origins.

Beating I wanna be the guy on Very Hard difficulty. It's nowhere near the hardest game ever made, but it's probably the hardest non-broken game ever made. You really feel a sense of accomplishment when you beat I wanna be the guy because you genuinely feel like you deserved to win. There's no such thing as luck in that game. It's pure skill along with memorisation. Yes you'll die alot from things there's no way you could have seen coming, but once you know that death is there you have to use skill to get past the trap. I wanna be the guy is a game that takes patience and persistance. In fact it takes perfection. Even the tiniest of mistakes means instant death. I dont think there's been anything more satisfying than besting fruit, spike and moon and finally besting The Guy. Beating the game on Very Hard was obviously a better achievement, but beating the game for the first time on any difficulty is definitely more satisfying.

If you have no idea what game I'm talking about, I strongly urge you check it out. Just type I wanna be the guy into google and click on the first thing that comes up. It's a free game you can download. Or you could just check out a bunch of vids of the game on youtube before trying it yourself. Basically it's a 2D platformer. You can jump, double jump and shoot. Depending on what difficulty level you play on changes how often you get save points. The game has a great nostalgic feel too, with references to lots of old classics such as megaman, zelda, mario, street fighter, castlevania etc. That's references both in the look of the levels, the characters and boss fights used and even the music. One of the eight boss fights in the game even uses the boss music from Ikaruga. It's also a very funny game. Loads of the ways you die are simply hilarious. The game is very well varied, very fun, has a very good length, very challenging and is easily one of my favourite 2D platformers ever if not my favourite. The games definitely not for everyone though. It takes alot of patience.

Hm, for me it would have to be when I 1 hit killed the final boss in Final Fantasy X with Auron. I was so proud xD, i had spent so many hours on that game grinding and getting the best equips.
