There was an aliens game on SNES and when you got a game over it showed a picuture of an alien and that one guy says "Game over man!".
Id have to go with everquest live..It was a game that hooked me for seven years..Ive never come across another game thats had me play, every day that long a time..Never will again me thinks..
Viewtiful Joe for some reason, and Assassins Creed because I always had trouble comprehending that I died but in Assassins Creed I didn't die I just got desincronized, you can never really lose Assassins Creed really.
Wow, I don't know if everyone in here is under the age of 12 or if you guys just never picked up a controller before 2005. Anyhow, my favorite game is The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on the snes. I haven't played it in almost 20 years and yet I can distinctly remember every song in it (because it also has the best soundtrack ever IMO). Listen to this music from a 16-Bit game and then try to tell me it's NOT epic!

I've never actually played Total Distortion, but the "You are dead" game over screen is epic.

Mystical Ninja 2 on the N64 for it's sheer obscurity, and the fact that it had nothing to do with anything in the game.
It was a nice, fun side-scrollingplatforming adventuregame. I was enjoying myself, but i got killedand then...

You are dead, dead, dead...
You are dead, dead, dead...
You are dead, dead, dead...
You thought you were hot, well guess what? You're NOT!
Dead, dead, dead...
Gotta be Sega Rally 2 Championship.
The only time I feel good when I get a Game Over
The worst would have to be Demon Soul's "You are dead but your soul is bound to the nexus" (or whatever it is) pretty much saying 'you died so we are gonna F you up now' I still liked the game though.
Metal Gear Solid 4 obviously.
It makes you feel like the whole freakin world has come to an end.
Once, I was playing some MGS4 late at night, and during a cutscene I fell asleep on the couch. When I woke up, I was standing next to some of my allies. Except, I was far too tiered to realize this and shot one in the head. After I did this, Otacon blared through my TV speakers "SNAKE NO! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?! SNAKE?! SNAAAAAAAAAAKEEEEE!!!!!!!!! WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO NOW!?!?"
The piss. It was scared out of me.
Friday the 13th for the NES:
"You and your friends are dead. Game Over."
SirRiffAlot
Your dead
Your friends are dead
your family is dead
your pets are getting skinned alive
Your mom's a ****ing *****
You suck at life
The whole world hates you
Your going to hell
deal with it!
GAME OVER
:P
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Lord knows it wasn't perfect, but for some reason it just sort of... clicked with me. I really have no idea why I loved it so much, what I do know, is that I managed to get 300+ hours out of at least 2 of the (roughly) 10 characters that I made. Not even WoW sucked away that much of my time.
