This game might have the coolest looking explosions I've ever seen, and I'm really digging the environments much more than the original game.
These screens are both hot and sexy:

Is anyone else reminded of Japanese art by looking at that explosion? It seems better suited in Okami than Crysis, haha.
Crysis: Warhead is kind of under the radar for me, but yeah, definitely looking forward to playing this especially since I'm thinking of building a new rig, it'd be awesome to replay the original and then dive into this. This time Crytek seems dedicated to optimize this thing to hell and back which is great for everyone. Also, they said they know that the first half of the game was loads better than the rest so they're focusing on delivering more of that which is fantastic. The first six levels of Crysis is pure open-ended emergent gameplay bliss.
I'll probably buy this since I really liked Crysis, but I'd feel a bit better about it if it were either 10 bucks cheaper or didn't take place on the same damn island. :?Teufelhuhn
What, it's full price?
EDIT: I just checked Amazon.co.uk and it's 5 pounds below the usual expansion pack pricepoint. Sounds great to me.

Unreal.
That's my favorite screenshot of the entire game. Definitely wallpaper material.
The visuals just look godly. Its not everyday you see a game that looks just as comparable if not better than CGI. I love to see what Crytek could do with the PS3 or the X360. BladesOfAthena
what HAVE they been doing on the consoles? I remember hearing rumors that they were hiring programmers with experience on the PS3, so I figured we'll at least get an announcement at E3, but we got nothing.

Possibly a Crysis port, as its been said that they're having some sort of porting project going on. Other than that, they've been pretty tight-lipped as far as their in-house projects.
