Estimated value of your entire collection?

Just happened to look at the value of my video games collection here:

My measly collection of 62 games across all the platforms I own comes to$1,239.38! (including consoles probably)

I know some of you guys have absolutely enourmous collections, and you probably haven't kept a database on gamespot, but how much do you think your collection is worth?

well acording to GS, the value of my collection is 5937.03 dollars.

though Im really not sure how it works this out, does it count every game as being the same value? because of it does, then that estimate is wrong.

According to Gamespot, I currently own $3,838.08 worth of games. I have 192 games, so that makes for an average of $19.99 per game.

I really have no idea if that estimate is accurate or not, I'd have to calculate all of my games' values individually, judging by their condition and rarity.

77 games worth $1,539.23

I think a lot of games don't have a dollar value entered in, however.

My is estimated at 4,397.80$.

really only about $6000 but GS estimate $8396

That's really weird. I tried adding Panzer Dragoon Saga to my collection, (just testing) and it's only worth $19.99.:? Earthbound is the same.

I dunno how accurate that is.(mostly legacy games, but a good # of psp and xbox360 games too) but honestly I've never thought of selling my collection. i'll probably hand it down to my kids or grandkids someday (if i ever have any lol). I definately dont have any really rare or collectable games. i think my most "valuable" game would be Punchout! for NES or Crash Bandicoot for PS1 (in near mint, in black label case). but if somebody offered me $4000 for my games, I'd say HELLNO, because i'm sure i'd have a hard time finding some of my games again later. one day i'll actually add up how much I've spent on my games, now that might be kinda scary, but considering I rarely spend more than $10 eachnow, it may not bee too bad.

Like everyone else, I have no idea how they come up with that estimated value. Still, that's an interesting total, for me at least.

I wonder if it goes by generation , ie, the older the game ,the less its worth. just my guess.Darkman2007

Nope. I tried adding Bulletstorm, which is selling for $60, and it only increased the total value by $19.99.:?

well my gamespot profile is glitching i know for a fact i have 172 wii games - - they count 156

but heres what they say

number of games 1,172 -i havent added all my pc games yet

prefer platform wii 156(which is a lie should say 172) and the platform i have 172 for is xbox360 wii i have 166

est. collection value $23,428,28 -thats probably for one console each 1 handheld each and not counting accesories and extra stuff such as kenict or what ever

but my whole collection movies games and cds , i wont take no less then 40 thousand ,

thats right i have that many wow i just opened my note pad found out they are wrong even on prefer platform

its worth more than 2500 but what ever

According to GS, its$12,173.91, but I don't have all my games added to that list, and it doesn't include memorbilia.
