why does gamespot have a hard on over Elden ring? every article is about elden ring i guess they have nothing else to talk about

@lee291: Because it's selling very well, and Game Spot likes to feel relevant. Doesn't matter if what they post is relevant or useful either, just keep pumping out articles to the current hotness.

You may prefer other games in 2022 but none of those are as successful or culturally relevant as Elden Ring right now (I say this as someone who thinks Sifu is GOTY2022 currently)

Compared to past Destiny 1 & 2, Fallout franchise, Call of Duty, GTAV, Battlefield, and other uninspiring franchise content articles, the Elden Ring articles are miniscule.

It would be cool if they covered more from other 2022 games; however it's clear they're chasing the current big selling/ zeitgeist. If they just did a bunch of Stranger of Paradise and Dying Light 2 articles how many clicks do you think they'll get by comparison? It's smart business honestly even if uninspiring.
