If it's story you're looking for, you might like Nier. I've played through the first ending and it was pretty epic. It has a WTF ending that makes you think, and you have to play through it again to figure everything out. The gameplay can get repetitive, but the bosses are fun.
They are a game developer based in North Carolina. They used to have a guy named Cliff Bleszinski who would cry about poverty in game development even though he drives a Lamborghini.
