@jones0083:

Jeeze I thats a tough one.... okay so theres theres three ways to get the Gold Idol.

1) this one is obvious.... you can ask someone to higher your pawn and have them give it to you as a gift, I would be more than happy to do this for you but unfortunately I'm on the Xbox.

2) Defeat the UR-Dragon in Online Mode, he will drop all sorts of goodies and the Gold Idol..... The Down Side is.... well he's basicly Unkillable, you need like the Best Weapons and all sorts of Personal Buffs to put a dent into his infinite HP and you need a boat load of Wake Stones to bail you out of his Insta Kill AoEs.....I'm sure Dark Souls Players will love this.

3) The normal way to get the Gold Idol is too successfully complete Fournival/Simone's Side Quest..... when you arrive in Grand Soren, find Fournival and Complete his First Quest..... after that go rest at the in for a day and go back to Fournival's house...... him and Simone Should be standing there right at the entrance.... if not then try resting at the Inn again or doing one main quest.

Okay so this is the tricky Part, You need to Escort Simone around Gran Soren and shiw her a good time, if you screw up a single thing, then you get nothing.

So first you need to follow her to the Fountain and never ever leave her side.... then you need to play Hide and Seek with her and find her before Sun set....

SPOILER

Shes hiding inside the inn in the corner behind the inn keeper.

/SPOILER

From there you once again have to stay close to her as she tours the Fountain Square..... don't leave her side.

After that she'l tell you shes thirsty and wants a Flask of Water... should be simple.

Okay now for the Grand Finale !

She's going to challenge you to race and tells you not to hold back.... ignore her stupid ass..... listen to your pawn: "Perhaps its best to let her win, Master"

Don't let her win by a land slide, just cross the finish line immediately after she does and you should be fine.

Okay when the quest is over, next time you talk to Simmone she will give you the Gold Idol.

REST AT THE INN BEFORE YOU DO THE QUEST BUT DON'T REST AT IT AGAIN UNTIL YOU GET THE IDOL, if Simmone doesn't give you the idol then you can use the Quit Menu to reload to the last time you were at the Inn, it completely overides the the Auto and Manuel Save Features.

Happy Hunting !!! ;)

@Lulu_Lulu: thanks for the reply. I finished that quest before I knew I needed the idol and I don't think she gave it to me. I've been trying to get someone to gift it to me but its older game and I kinda don't know how to do that lol. Anyway thanks very much!!

@trippypees: Dark Arisen edition was such an amazing game, flaws and all. Though I'd say if you enjoyed Dogma? You might want to try the Monster Hunter series :)

@trippypees: Well it's difficult to say Monster Hunter is difficult when you consider BittleBlack Isle in Dragon's Dogma. Though, think I'm getting what you mean. Monster Hunter asks for more when it comes to combat, and being aware of one-hit-kills.

@RSM-HQ:

Bitter Black Isle wasn't difficult.... it was cheap as hell.... its the exact same enemies you've been fighting in Gransys except they have more health, do more damage and they came in Numbers...... Sounds familar ?

@Lulu_Lulu: Plenty of new enemies and I found the difficulty fine. However it does recommend a level of 70 before going in. If you only went in the early depths? Sure it's basically the post-game creatures recycled.

I remain saying it's the best part of the game.

@RSM-HQ:

Those New Enemies sucked.... and the ones that could have been interesting were ruined by how they implimented them.

Which enemies were actually new anyway: The Silver Knights, The Annoying Leap Worms, those dudes with the Large Hammers, Death and The Dark Arisen..... those last two were extremely annoying.

But more importantly.... why is it when you reach level 200 that the rift no longer sends you player created pawns ?

@Lulu_Lulu: We'll have to agree to disagree on the quality of enemies.

I loved the Eliminator encounters for example, some of the best gameplay I had was fighting three at once. followed with lightning or ice (caster) Dragon, followed with Death. Then rolling on with the double Daimon encounter.

Here is a wiki link if you want to know the full list of monsters at BitterBlack Isles

http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Bitterblack_Isle

My Pawn still works maxed out, me and my friends did Ur runs when on 200. Though I can only speak on behalf the PS3 Dark Arisen edition. Kinda sucks if it's not letting you :(

@RSM-HQ:

I know all The Monstebitter Dark Arisen..... only a fraction of them are genuinely new.

And seriously ? You thought fighting three eliminators at once who can instantly kill you while fighting Death, who only one single has only single attack which just so happens to be another instant kill, with brain dead AI companions on top of all that...... This was your best moment ?

Speaking of Daimon.... don't you think its funny the game only gives you the best weapons AFTER you kill the toughest boss in the game, Capcom and their warped logic. Atleast in Gransys you get some oppertunities to use your newly found Dragon Weapons in the Everfall but in But in Black Isle.... fade to credits, game over.

Its also incredibly linear for a supposedly open world game.

@Lulu_Lulu: Message contains _SPOILERS_ read on your own accord.

. . . Well yeah, just like G-rank in Monster Hunter; the bigger the risk the more entertaining it is (personal opinion) I suppose it depends what class you use but for a Warrior, the careful thought on when to strike was awesome (I'm aware Warrior is bottom tier)

Will make no praise regarding the Eliminators or Deaths A.I. as exploiting the patterns is what I find fun. Mind you Death only ever came when you killed the Wyrms.

Was Banshees a BBI monster? Had fun throwing them at Death haha.

As the reward system goes, fighting the current online generations of Ur white-wash Daimon second form. Perhaps the armor and weapons are best used for him? As it's not "game over" after Daimon and BBI credits. You respawn at the entrance and BBI changes and add new enemies. Oherwise I agree, though it is possible to stumble across Devil equipment after the -SPOILER- Dark Arisen is freed, located in many dungeons within BBI.

I also agree the open world was a tad misleading, it's basically the consoles answer to MH. Those who see it as a Elder Scrolls/ Witcher/ or Dragon Age will be greatly suprised.

Best part of Dogma is the combat and customisation. I like BitterBlacks story, though I accept that's not the popular opinion.

@RSM-HQ:

So I guess you would like it more if you had to fight Daimon's second form plus every other boss simultaneously since you value your entertainment by how many overwhelming creatures you have to fight.

Yeah... Banshees were Bitter Black Isle creatures..... its pretty much completely identical to the the other zombies the game.

Death comes at specific areas of your first run and after you kill Daimon he will appear at any area of the Isle where you kill Flesh and Blood creatures.... he'l also appear if you if you drop ransid bait meat..... when you kill him he can reappear in less than an hour.... he's a fucking Nuisance.

The changes in Bitterblack after killing Daimon are completely pointless... all they do as re shuffle the enemies and increase their numbers.......

And just to show you that Capcom is trolling you... those special weapons and armor aren't even guaranteed drops... so it doesn't even matter anyway.

"Best part of Dogma is the combat and customisation."

Yep.... best RPG so far.... was hoping for a sequel to fix all these issues but instead they opted for the MMO route (Twas probably what they wanted it to be in the first place)

@Lulu_Lulu: Well, don't put words in my mouth and overexaggerate please. I just enjoyed that particular challenge, like G rank in MH, difficulty is different from tedium. It was a large area and enough space to fight all the monsters mentioned without hassle.

Almost anything else goes back towards the agree to disagree statement.

I myself am signed up for Dragon's Dogma Online Alpha, looking forward to trying it this summer.

http://www.dd-on.jp/test/alpha/

And who knows, a DD2 may happen. Look at MH as they dipped in MMOs as well.

All the same, nice chatty with you Lulu. Perhaps see you on Dogma Online one day :)

@trippypees: I wouldn't say death was cheap, he was easy as hell, but ur pawns will die cause they have the downs. Daimon 2 was cheap as helI, and it being on hard made it cheaper. rather go solo in bbi with that one skill that increase ur str when solo, but some of the enemies are immune to physical so I can't go solo all the time as I'm a rogue (got to 200 3 times always as a assassin)

Even at 200 lvled (almost) entirely as an assassin (they get the most str on lvl up) I still take for ever to kill daimons second form, plus he'll kill ya in 1 hit with most his moves (again on hard)

Death always has a two cycle set-up. And will 'always' do one after the other.

Sleeping lantern

Death slice

Get 100% sleep resistance for lantern and butcher him through this phase, run and jump when he changes stance, repeat with this and he's a cake walk. Best to go solo with some Assassin perks (for melee)

@RSM-HQ:

I know.... those two attacks is what makes him Tedious to fight..... win or lose.... Death Sucks... I killed him once just to be rid of him.... a few minutes later and he comes back, I said screw it.

Atleast the UR Dragon mixes it up....

Actually last month Capcom did this shit again with one of the events for President Evil Revelations 2 Raid Mode, they took a regular enemy, super sized it and put it so far away that it couldn't even attack you.

It was the LAZIEST shit I've ever seen.

@Lulu_Lulu: Well I haven't played Revelations 2 just yet, though as Death is concerned I always saw him just as a "run away" endeavour.

His rewards are pretty good, though Death is not designed to be a fight of sorts. Rather making a bad situation worse.

Sort of like Ghosts in Spelunker.

@Lulu_Lulu: With Bitter Black following more of a survival horror expansion theme, I think it's safe to say Death is creating the empathetic stance on the Island.

I'm not saying it successful worked, because like many; I tend to stick-a-round and break his face. Though like Pyramid Head from Silent Hill 2, or Nemesis from Resi 3 it's intended to make you feel uneasy/ weak/ afraid.

Though may I point out this is just my speculation on how they intended Death in the Dark Arisen Edition.

Call me crazy but I hope BBI returns in future entries of the franchise or at least key enemies from the Island.

@RSM-HQ:

Exactly... Capcom has President Evil for that sort of thing..... it wasn't worth it.
