Had mine since like... 87 I want to say? Kicked the bucket on me prior to the release of the SNES. Probably due to me playing it so much, or maybe the blowing on it caused excessive and rapid oxidation of the connecting pins. Maybe a little of both.

Don't know how long I've actually had it but its worked for 22 years.  However, it takes more and more fiddling around with the system to start any game I have.

I've had mine packed away ever since I got my SNES and Genesis.  I dont see any reason why it will not power up if I plug it in.

I have two that work but needed to save space for more consoles so I also picked up the FC Twin, here is a report of what I think about it.

yes i do, but one time it stopped working and so we took it to nintendo of america and they replaced the insides which apparently had a dead moth cacoon thing in it. If you have an NES that doesn't work you can mail it to them.

I still have mine and its going strong. Super Tecmo Bowl, Mike Tysons Punch Out and World Cup are the most played games on it.  But I break it out for my mom to play Mario every once and a while.

I have a working NES.  It's the top-loading model that Nintendo put out after their original model.  I love that thing ;)

Ahhhh Yes the old nes BJ.If those connecters were just a little dirty youd get the flashing grey and black screen.the good ol days.

I actually have two Nintendo systems. One I had since I was a kid, which was Christmas of '92, and one I bought recently. The one I had since I was a kid just barel works, and it takes some tinkering around to get games working. The other one, I bought it from a frend of mine a month ago. It was in good working condition, and I figured I would have it as a spare. I came with two controllers, the plugins, and a few games, which are Super Mario Bros. 3, Where's Waldo, and SUper Mario Bros./Duck Hunt with a light gun. All for $30, which I didn't think was a bad deal.

I have one that used to be my sisters, seeing as how I wasn't born when it came out. Now that I think about it I don't know if it works or not, when I get home I'll have to try it out.

I still have mine, and it still works. I still have all my games in their original boxes as well. It was touch and go there for a while, as I was getting consistent flashing power light syndrome. I popped it open, cleans the pins and bent them back up, and it plays like new again.

I purchased and installed a new chip for my NES about a year ago. It read all my games on the first try. I had almost 200 games, including the greatest ones... but then one night they got stolen out of my house :( Thankfully there is emulation.
