Question in the title. Do you think that the number of quality games would increase if people funded indie developers more often through crowdsourcing type of initiatives? Or, do you think the games would be worse since there is no incentive to release on a schedule, etc.?

I am a gamer so all that matters is that i can enjoy the game. So no matter who made them, be it AAA games or indie games. for me a indie game like Papers please or Risk of rain is as good as any top ranked AAA games, GTA, Assassins creed etc. also Indie games pretty much revived the adventure genre and that is something i always found enjoyment in.

Doesn't matter to me if it's indie or AAA as long as I enjoy the game.

It's a case by case basis.

I much more prefer the AAA games myself. I think I've only ever played no more then 5 indie games in my 35+ years of gaming and the only one I've really ever enjoyed much was Minecraft.

Just as long as the games are good. I dont mind a good AAA game, but one that interests me is hard to come by. Mostly due to delays and them all releasing at the end of the year.

As a consumer in my age, though, I think I prefer indies. They tend to be short, low risk and heavily focused. They fill in the long gaps between AAA releases (that I may not even like) when I just want something to play. I also like that they have a personal soul in them, feeling more like a passion project, over a deliberate product.

I don't think this topic is asking whether or not being AAA or indie affects your enjoyment of a game. I think it's asking which you typically find yourself enjoying more.

There's a whole lot of fantastic indie games out there, but I still find that the large majority of my playing time is spent on AAA games.

I think with indies, too many of them are one-trick ponies and are shorter experiences. Which is fine, there's nothing wrong with that necessarily as the game prices do tend to reflect that so its fair, but it also means that I usually end up playing one, typically having a good time with it, but then I'm ready to move on and play a larger-scale game again.

As long as a game offers what I seek, I don't care if it's indie or not.

The question is not asking whether or not a game being indie makes it more or less fun, it is asking whether you typically enjoy indie games more, less or about the same as AAA titles. It's a preference question, not a question about how "hip" or "rebellious" you are. I would only expect a tool to say that being AAA or indie automatically makes them like it less just because of who made it. Yes, you could choose to not play a game because of a certain publisher or developer, but deciding you hate a game just because XYZ made it is extremely stupid.

I do enjoy AAA games more than indie. I find many indie games as a whole is not well made. Say a one trick pony is a good description of many of them.

I do not like side scrollers or top down beat them up so the cuts down the number of indie games out there down some much.
