So I'm not much one for preordering games. Rockstar can have my money, each and every time, but other than that, I just wait for reviews/etc first, then determine if I'll buy the game, wait for a sale, or wait for full (goty) edition.

Anyways...I preordered ME on pc. I'm very excited about it...huge fan of the original trilogy with multiple playthroughs. This one has unlocked frame rate/controller support (for my elite controller) and other goodies like 4k/hdr support.

Anyways...it can be hard going to game websites where there are "Watch us play ME for 8 hrs!" or "Watch the beginning mission of ME!" or "Blah blah blah about ME!" It can be hard to try and avoid spoilers when you just want to experience all the game on your first playthrough. What do you guys think? Do you try to avoid media on games your looking forward to?

@demi0227_basic: At a certain point I will avoid spoilers like the plague, however I am of the belief that I need to see enough to grasp my attention. I've gone through this recently with Nier: Automata. A game I didn't give much throught other than wondering on how like other Platinum slashers it was?

Now. After I'm done with Nioh, DkSIII DLC, and Sonic Mania I'm going to play that game and hopefully enjoy it a lot, as I love Platinum games. But I don't need to see anything more than what I read in a particular review. Automata seems just for someone like me and that's all I need to know.

Yeah, don't think I've had anything spoiled in a while, though. Unfortunately I tend to run into them where I'd least expect it. But if it's for a game I don't really have interest in I tend not to remember spoilers so if I ever happen to become interested in the game it's not much of a problem.

it's quite easy to avoid video spoilers in that preview footage and reviews are relatively safe. it's people on the forums or in the video comments sections that are the ones to be on your guard about.

i'll generally try and avoid any threads discussing a game i'm getting / just picked up because there'll always be someone who's raced through the game in a single day and wants to let the world know. case in point someone posted a thread in this forum the day after horizon zero dawn released saying they'd finished the campaign with a spoiler in the thread title
