They were okay, I thought Smash and Brawl had better new characters though. Melee had too many clones and I thought out of the new characters, there were too many Mario, Pokemon, and Zelda characters and I would've rather had a new Kirby, Metroid, or Donkey Kong character.
i thought many were good, but that some were cloned, and useless and other franchise characters could have been included instead... like; mallow or geno from smrpg, maybe andross, one or all of the koopa kids, captain n, etc.
Funny how you should ask that, my gf lent me the game and im playing it now.. Marth/Link/ are my faves but all characters are decent. nice selection. Brawl has the best selection of characters but thats normal cause its newer.
Yes, I like 'em all except Jigglypuff. She's the most unnecessary character to put in a fighting game, EVER. I rather have Weedle or Caterpie in Melee. All she can do is sing and act cute. I can't believe she made to the sequel Brawl. Jigglypuff is my least used character in Melee. Period!
