I haven't played it, but if it's like demons souls, blood shouldnt be a big problem. But I don't know your parents so who am I to talk?

But how old are you?

This, I played for 70+ hours and don't really remember any blood except for finishers.

But if your parents don't like blood in gmes, I doubt they'll like Dark Souls.

Your parents hate blood and gore? Then how did you get the game then? Seriously, what do parents think that M on the box means, rated M for Minors? :?

I can play games like crysis, skyrim and whatnot. and for some reason I can really watch any movie no matter how bloody, but with videogames its a bit more strict

Honestly, with gaping dragons, ceaseless discharges, taurus demons here, capra demons there, I think blood would be the least of your parents' concerns with Dark Souls.

Trust me, It's not the blood that's going to be the problem your parents have with the game. The game is unrelentingly brutal in terms of the violence of the combat and deaths the blood is pretty much an afterthought. Not to mention a good chunk of the games areas and creatures are visually pretty disturbing.

However if my son was 14 or older I would let him play it.....for the whole ten minutes before he gave up in frustration haha.

I am 15, but they don't like games where its more bloody than what is "usual"(games like crysis, skyrim) for some reason the brutality of the deaths really isnt a big deal as long as there isn't blood rocketing everywhere, Sooo I take it that you cannot turn blood off in this game

How are you 15 and worried about blood >:/

HOW!?!?!?!?!?!

Stop being a baby, or else you can go back to Nintendo

Edit: Under the impression that I was in System Wars, but I'll still stand by my opinion.

The blood in Dark Souls isn't even that excessive, its just a small splash that immediately disappears. And yes, you can't turn the blood off in this game.

That's also helpful to know for anyone who doesn't care about blood and wants to prevent the occasional spike in slowdown. I remember while aiming with my bow at one point early on in the game I was hit in the face by an enemy's arrow and I could literally count the frames as the game slowed down to a ridiculous crawl. It only lasted about five seconds, but it was annoying and likely a result of the extreme close up of the blood on the screen taking its sweet time to splash outwards and then vanish. Not the worst technical flaw in the game, but it's worth noting that it can be avoided.

If your parents are so concerned about blood, chances are you are not even old enough to play the game then.
