Does anyone else have this?

When playing FPS games i find myself hitting reload even when it isn't really needed or half way into my ammo clip.

It's annoying but i always feel like i have to have a full clip at all times :S

I feel this comes from playing too much CS where you need a full clip in the MP5 to be sure of actually killing your foe. Remedies to this include playing Operation Flashpoint, Day of Defeat (or DoD Source), or battlefield games. America's army also does a good job of curing 'chronic reload syndrome'.

I reload after every single shot I take, regardles.

I figure it's better to not get caught of guard.... plus I've never really gotten burned doing it.

Yes, all the time, a friend of mine even got annoyed and pointed that out: 'Why would you reload? You still have 29 bullets out of 30 in your clip'

Yeah, I tend to do that.

I don't think about it much, but then one day I was killed by someone while reloading. I probably could have killed him if I hadn't. I had enough ammo.

Better too much than not enough.

I can totally relate on that. Even if I fired just a couple of rounds with an automatic, I still find myself hitting the reload button by default. I believe its something I developed as a result of getting killed for everytime I ran out of ammo while being stuck in a firefight at the same time.

Yes, I do this all the time. Sometimes i'll find my self using an LMG and then after firing it about 10 times I just hit reload without thinking, and lmgs take a while to load so sometimes this isnt the best thing.....
