Whether you like it our not, games will continue to push towards the cloud based and digital business model. The consumers willingness to purchase downloadable content has helped in creating new business for videogame companies. Free to play games can be just as profitable as the games we purchase. As consumers we just need to make sure the DLC is truly worth paying double what the game cost. The question is how will GameStop survive the change?

My only hope is that the gaming of up to a few years ago will still exist in a large niche format.

Couldn't bear it if the current scene of digital heavy, consumer exploitation, gaming is the only option.
