Hey everyone so I’ve decided to to upgrade to a ps4 pro and get a new tv. I want to get the most out of the console and new releases coming out so I’m going for 43” 4k UHD HDR. However, the problem is I live in PAL territory (Ireland) so all TVs are advertised as 50hz. I play mostly rpg and single player games so I’m not worried about response time. I’ve heard some people say that their just advertised as 50hz because that’s the frequency stations broadcast at but the panels can switch to 60hz automatically when gaming. So my question is will it run at 60fps or will it cut the frame rate down to 50fps to match the hertz? I know it’s only 10fps but I want to take full advantage of the tech if I’m gonna splash out on it!

We use PAL (aussie) TV's are still 60hz. Just look at the TV and see what it says. I know England has the same Hisense TV's and they are 60hz.

PS4 games don't run at 60 FPS, unless they are shitty indie titles I guess.

The only PS4 exclusive I know that can run 60fps is Resogun.

Wow I didn'th think they still made 50Hz displays after the CRT era.

I know you guys use 50Hz for power, but that shouldn't affect the display refresh rate.

Would you mind looking up the exact part number for the TV? I'd like to take a look at the specs.

Unfortunately not many games run at 60FPS on PS4. While a few above show colorful views; it's namely ports from a previous generation that have the 60 frames you seem to want. Wipe Out: Omega I suppose is the best example I've seen of stable 60FPS on PS4
