Hey guys, I need some help. If a game is patched many times soon after release and you buy the game, say, 3 years later, will you have to download the patches or will they be in the call of duty anyway?

Well you dont need to because most of the game when updated with a latest patch comes in the market already updated.so in your case if you want to get a three year old game just download or get the last release of the game.
