If I could only get one, which one should it be? Why?

Skyward Sword... I'm having way more fun with it than I did with BOTW. I much prefer the more linear Zelda games that remove all the filler and baron worlds.

BOTW crushes SS. Not even close.

Yeah... I can agree with Casey on that one. I count Skyward Sword as the worst 3D Zelda ever created.

BOTW for its gameplay.

Skyward sword is ok. It also looks kinda ugly. I wish they went with something like twilight princess or wind waker.

Having played neither, I’d say SS. BOTW is too open world.

While I like Zelda neither of those is high up in my opinion.

One is a open world game that had pretty underwhelming dungeons, constant breaking weapons, and tedious cooking.

And the other is usually considered by many one of the worst Zelda games ever made.

@RSM-HQ: I hate breaking weapons and having to replace them. The cooking might not be so bad if it had the same catchy music as a Monster Hunter game.

BotW cooking being unskippable is pretty tedious for making a simple item, which the player may make in bulk, becoming even more repetitive. The eating animation isn't very fun either honestly.

In MH not only is cooking skippable, has various animations, catchy as noted, is also a one use buff pre-quest, not the same as the healing item.

I do not want to be too harsh on BotW though, it has its redeeming qualities to open world fans, for me it just has a lot of tedium.

There was a time when I'd look at S.S. as one of the worst Zelda entries but the changes have made it so much better and worth playing. Both S.S. and B.O.T.W. are wonderful in their own right but the latest remaster shows how dungeons should be made and how it adds a great deal to the game.
