My favorite is probably Metal Gear Solid. I am trying to play through Chrono Cross now, but I doubt it will take MGS's spot on my list. In fact, it is weird, because I find I would rather play the old RPG's (FF IV, V, VI, Chrono Trigger etc) than the ones on the Playstation. I don't know why this is.

Castlevania SOTN and Final Fantasy Tactics

Those were the best (FF7 wasn't as good as 6, and it never will be)

Not necessarily the best games but certainly some of my favorites:

-Wipeout XL (the first time I really 'felt' 3d speed on a console)

-Resident Evil II (that thing that jumped trough the mirror in the interrogation room:o)

And Castlevania, SOTC (of course)

Those would be Number 3 and 2 on my list. The best PS game was Xenogears. It has such an amazing story, the battle system was unique and fun, and it also had a great soundtrack.

Unfortuantly (well i think most people will not like it) i fall into the section in which thinks most Final Fantasy games were the best games on the PS1... But then i didn't have many other games apart from some racing games and platform jumpers like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro. But i found and still find Final Fantasy 7 to be the best...

The Spyro the Dragon trilogy always brings a smile to my face. I enjoyed those games so much.

Mine would be Twisted Metal 2, however there is no BEST game on any system, console or otherwise.
